Objectives: to develop pupils’ listening, reading and speaking skills; to develop pupil’s skills of group work, pair work, to form critical thinking, to bring up pupils’ creativity.

At the end of the lesson pupils will be able to understand video about shopping

Equipment: textbook, Interactive whiteboard, video file

Procedure

І. Greetings. Good morning, students! Today we are going to talk about different shops in Great Britain and thing we can buy there. Please, take your seats, look at each other and smile. How are you? Are you fine? Are you ready to start our lesson?

II. Main part of the lesson.

1. Brainstorming. What kinds of shops do you know?  Write what we can buy there.

E.g. At the butcher’s we can buy meat, sausages and chicken.

2. Make up questions and answer them.

1) like/for/do/clothes/you/shopping/?

3) clothes/who/you/for/buys/?

4) buy/where/clothes/your/you/do/?

3. Speaking Work in small groups. Read what three people say about shopping. Which is most true for you? Give more information.

4. Watching video. Watch the episode about Camden Market and be ready to do some task.

Work with your partner. Take turns to be the customer and the shop assistant at Camden Market.
