Мета: ознайомити учнів з традиціями країни, мова якої вивчається;

розвивати соціокультурну компетенцію учнів з використанням матеріалу, пов’язаного зі святами та традиціями Великобританії; розвивати мовленнєві навички та логічне мислення; розвивати творчі здібності та естетичне сприйняття навколишнього світу; упродовж гри-змагання формувати та розвивати навички співпраці (робота в групі, в команді, взаємодопомога);

виховувати інтерес до вивчення традицій англомовних країн, прищеплювати любов до України (у процесі складання вітальної листівки), розширювати світогляд учнів.

Обладнання: картки із зображенням  Valentine’s Day, проектор, екран, ноутбук, кольоровий папір, клей, вітальні листівки, плакати, кольорові кульки,

Форма проведення: гра - змагання.

Love! Happiness! Beauty! Today we pronounce these pleasant words because a special day - St. Valentine's Day is it today!

Dear Friends! Ladies and Gentlemen, Children and Grown-ups! You are welcome to our party devoted to St. Valentine’s Day, which is always held on February 14th and bring us happiness and good luck.

St. Valentine’s Day is one of the popular holiday in Europe and America. It is the day when boys and girls, sweethearts and lovers, husbands and wives, friends and neighbours exchange greeting cards.

Valentine’s day is a special time when people tell each other that they love them and care about them. To celebrate this day, people send special cards with romantic messages. They give their sweethearts small gifts, chocolate and flowers So, we think it’s time to celebrate this merry holiday in our school too. That's why the topic of today's lesson is ‘ St. Valentine's Day for You and Me’. We’ll work in four teams.
