Тема. Різновиди професій в нашому житті і їх значимість

Мета:

          збагатити словниковий запас учнів новою лексикою, вдосконалювати навички граматичної побудови речень, формувати вміння монологічного мовлення;

          розвивати здібності учнів до логічного та асоціативного мислення, розвивати увагу, самостійність, пошуково-пізнавальну активність, уміння знаходити і виправляти фактичні помилки;

         виховувати повагу до людей різних професій, прищеплювати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, виховувати культуру мовлення.

Обладнання: мультимедійний пристрій, робочий зошит, наочність, словник, канцелярське приладдя.

Тип уроку: урок закріплення знань.

Методи і методичні прийоми: словесні (розповідь, бесіда), наочні (ілюстрації до теми), практичні (вправи).

ФОПД: фронтальна, індивідуально-відокремлена, колективна.

Хід уроку

I. Організаційний етап

Привітання. Налаштування учнів на доброзичливу обстановку в класі (Слайд1).

- Good day, pupils! I’m glad to see you! Today we have an unusual lesson and we hope you’re happy to see not only us, but our guests too. Turn around and say “Good day, teachers”. Take your seats.

- How are you today?

- Who is on duty today?

- Who is absent today?

- What is the weather like today?

II. Перевірка домашнього завдання

Your hometask for today was to do exercise 6 on page 115. Let’s check!

III. Підготовка учнів до засвоєння нових знань (мотивація) (Слайд 2)

- Look at the screen and read the proverb. “It's NOT the job you DO, It's HOW you DO the job.” Let’s translate it into Ukrainian! “Які труди – такі й плоди”. Is it good to work hard?

- Yes, it is. Everyone should go into their own job. People have to do only that job, which they get. Imagine, that shoemaker starts to cook the cakes!

Let’s try the crossword. What person does hide under this description? Identifying people by their jobs (Слайд 3)

1. Who sings songs? (singer)
2. Who can drive cars? (driver)
3. Who writes a lot of books and we can read them? (writer)
4. This person looks after people in hospital every day. (doctor)
5. Who is going in for sports and one part of his name “ball”? (footballer)
6. Who works in the theatre and acts on the stage? (actor)

8. This person helps to make our cities and roads safe. (policeman)

IV. Первинне закріплення знань

- Children, open your exercise-books and write down today’s date (Слайд 4). Well, as you see, today we’ll speak about professions. You’ll learn some new words and remember the famous professions.

- Open your books on page 124, exercise 1 (Слайд 5). Read the new words and translate. OK. Now, look at the screen. Match the pictures with the professions         (3 points): (Слайд 6)

- Let’s check your answers (Слайд 7)                           

Take your pencils and count your points (Слайд 8)

Hand up, who has three points (two and one)? Well, nice job!

- So, the next exercise is to read the description of some people and say: “Which is which?” (3 points) – (Слайд 9-13)

1. “I like children, I like explaining the rules of different games and I am really good at telling stories.” (teacher)
2. “I like to help people, and actually I help all my family when some of them cuts a finger or has a headache.” (doctor)
3. “I like being alone, looking at the trees, leaves and flowers. I can draw them and my mum put these pictures into the frames.” (artist)
4. “I know all the traffic rules and I can help anybody to find the way to any part of our town. I like helping people and keeping the rules.” (policeman)
5. “I like shopping. I know a lot about products of different shops. I know the shop, where sale clothes and shoes.” (seller)
6. “I like saying speech in public, I have very good memory. I work at the theatre and I perform on the stage.” (actor)

Teacher: It’s high time to relax. Let’s shake your body! Come on! Stand up pupils and let’s do some exercises altogether (Слайд 14).

V. Контроль та самоперевірка знань

- Look at the screen and let’s practise speaking about past events. The interrogative form of the Past Simple is formed by means of the auxiliary verb to do in the Past, and the infinitive of the main verb. A question word is placed before the subject (For example – Слайд 15-16).

- Put the words in correct order (orally).

VI. Підведення підсумків, рефлексія

Marking pupils for our work at the lesson. Well done!

- Pupils and our guests, at the beginning of our lesson, everyone chose the colourful card. So, look at the screen and find out your colour. Every colour belongs to definite professions. That’s why “Everything is in your hands!” (Слайд 23)

VII. Інформація про домашнє завдання (Слайд 24-25)

For brains: Ex.6, p.126 and learn the grammar rules (1-9 points).

For hands: draw the picture about your future profession which you like best of all. (It`s up to your wish).

For interests: bring a video about an unusual people and influence profession their life (10-12 points).
