Тема: Тепер ти можеш... Узагальнення знань учнів з теми «Free time»

Мета:

навчальна: активізувати та закріпити вивчений лексико-граматичний матеріал з теми «Free time» , вдосконалювати вміння та навички аудіювання, читання, письма, усного мовлення,реагувати вербально на запитання, які вимагають як простих так і складних відповідей, формувати в учнів комунікативну компетенцію, закріпити поняття прийменників часу та вживання їх у мові з опорою на наочність, розвивати та удосконалювати написання речень в теперішньому продовженому часі (розповідні, питальні та заперечні);

розвиваюча: уважно стежити за презентованою інформацією, ефективно співпрацювати під час парної та групової роботи, мотивувати готовність брати участь в іншомовному спілкуванні, мотивувати бажання до подальшого самовдосконалення у галузі володіння іноземною мовою, розвивати мовну здогадку;

виховна: зацікавити учнів темою уроку, привернути їхню увагу до вивченого матеріалу, допомогти їм бути розкутими у спілкуванні, толерантного ставлення до однокласників, викликати в дітей бажання вчитися; вивчати іноземну мову; виховувати дисципліну, повагу до однокласників, звичку до систематичної розумової праці,ефективно співпрацювати під час парної та групової роботи;

Обладнання: електронна презентація, навчальні відео фрагменти, аудіо текст для аудіювання, картки за підтемою  «Дозвілля», «Моє хобі», плакат "Present Continuous", картки для писемного мовлення

Тип уроку: повторення та узагальнення вивченого

Хід уроку

1. Greetings

T: Hello, children! How are you today? I’m glad to see you. Let's begin our lesson with a poem:

I like reading
I like  playing
I like studying
Every day

I like  singing
I like running
All you know,
It is funny

2. Aim and Goals ( together with children)

T: Well done! And now let us remember what we spoke about and write on the whiteboard. (Pupils say what they have been doing and the teacher writes on the board.)

3. Warm-up.

T: So, today we have to revise all the words we have studied.  We also will act out the dialogues about hobbies, we will tell us about our hobbies and our relatives' hobbies, we’ll do exercises and listen to the text. I hope you will have fun and get excellent marks. Let's start our lesson.

T: First  let’s revise some words.

• Video viewing. Look and remember and then  do an exercise.

T:  I see you like some activities so I think you can join some clubs. Now you have to speak to your partner about joining a club.

Pre-Reading

T: I know that many pupils like reading. Am I right? OK. Let us read. Your task is to  read and to choose the correct word. But first look at the picture and describe the boy.

(Pupils are going to choose the right words from the brackets while reading. Pupils read the text in a chain and choose the right words. They do choral and individual reading)

Post-Reading

• Answer the questions (p. 65, ex. 3).

Pair work: Pupils  read the questions and find the answers to the questions using the text.

  Answers: 1. baby; 2. in the jungle; 3. wolves; 4. bear; 5. climbs;  6. tiger; 7.   monkeys.

• Writing

Before Writing children revise the use of Present Continuous Tense in a Mime Game ( one or two pupils show some actions and others name them).

Pair work: Pupils  write the sentences to the pictures using an example.

• Listening

Listen and watch. Grop Work. Then guess who is who (p. 65, ex. 4).

T: Now, pupils, you are going to listen about two families. Then you have to choose the correct answers and complete the sentences.

                Pre-Listening

(Pupils listen and look at the picture. Then they read the names of the members of these families. The people’s names are written in a column on the board. Tell pupils these are the beginnings of the sentences.

                   While-Listening

Pupils listen to the text again. Then they choose the correct answers and complete the sentences.

                      Post-Listening

Pair work: Pupils read and practice the descriptions of the girls/boys/ their parents. One or two pupils describe them in front of the classroom.

Answers: 1. Greta and Nick Click are reading. 2. Tracy is writing a postcard (on the sand). 3. Suzy and Suzy’s mum are swimming. 4. Luke’s rowing a boat. 5. Luke’s friends are playing pirates. 6. Colin and Pete are fishing. 7. Tracy is writing a postcard to Toby.

• Speaking

Pupils tell about their hobbies.

6. Home work

T:Well, it was my pleasure to work with you today. And your home task for the next lesson will be to write a letter about your hobby.
