Підтематема : «Захоплення моєї сім`ї та друзів»

Мета:Сприяти закріпленню  лексико-граматичного  матеріалу  та вдосконаленню навичок аудіювання,  читання,  говоріння і  письма; розвивати мовну здогадку учнів та вміння співпрацювати у групі;  виховувати прагнення з користю проводити вільний час, збагачуючи себе новими знаннями, повагу до оточуючих та толерантне  ставлення одне до одного.

Обладнання: підручник 4-го класу з англійської мови А.Несвіт ,  дидактичний матеріал, робочий зошит,ноутбук, наочність.

Aim

T: Today we are going to speak about hobbies of our friends and our families.  You will repeat words and practice your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. You will play some games and do some exercises. Let’s start our lesson.

 

Warming up

 

Phonetic drill.

Game: “Mixed letters”

Reading

The Teacher divides the pupils into 2 – 3 groups.Every group  receives  the cards. All words were written wrong. The pupils must write the letters in the right order and read them.

T:  Dear  pupils  I  want  to  show  you  a  video  “Hobbies  Phrases”.  You   must  be  very  attentive.  Listen  and   repeat  please.

( Teacher  try  to  turn  on  the  laptop  but  she  can’t  do  it )

Pupil 1:  What  happened?

Pupil 2:  Can  we  help  you?

T:  Yes.  It’s  a  pity.I  forgot  a  password.  Help  me  please.

P.s:  What  can  we  do?

T:  At  first  you  must  guess  a  crossword.  Then  you  will  see  some    letters  in  blue cells. You  must  make  a  word  from  these  letters.  It  will  be  my  password.

T:Look  here. There are many kinds of hobbies. What are they?

P1: Cycling, collecting, gardening, fishing.

P2: Cooking, reading, dancing, travelling.

T: Your  task will be to guess what hobby  I will read you  about, and take necessary pictures and  put  them  in the correct order.(The teacher gives pictures to every group)

Hobbies

1) Such people like to visit different cities, towns and historical places. Some people even visit other countries. They can travel by car, by plane, by train, by bus or on foot. This hobby helps them to learn history, geography and traditions of different people and countries. ( Travelling)

2) People like to spend their free time near the rivers or lakes. They often go there with their friends or relatives. They can have a picnic there. They go usually there in summer but some people like to go there in winter too. Also they can boil fish broth (soup) after going there.(Fishing)

3) It is a very beautiful and good kind of hobby. You can visit dancing club after lessons or dance at home. If you can dance well, you can show it at the disco, at the parties with your friends!(Dancing)

4) This hobby is interesting and useful. People try to find or buy different things such as stamps, badges, coins, pictures, dolls, etc. Their collections can be thematic. This hobby helps people to make new friends and to learn some new things about countries and lands, animals and birds, famous people and historical events. (Collecting.)

5) People like to make new dishes. They often cook for the family and for their friends. They can present the food nicely and lay the table beautifully. They use spices (vinegar, oil, pepper, etc.) They can boil or fry meat, fish, and chicken and make souses and deserts. (Cooking.)

6)People like to go to the library. Some of them have a good collection of books at home. And they are really proud of it. They can have different books: fiction, historical novels, books about animals and birds, books about different countries. Their hobby helps them to relax, to learn the world and understand other people better. (Reading.)

Game “Jump Game”

T: Now we are to play a jump game. I show you a picture and give a word, if the they are the word is the same as a card you should jump, if not – stay still.
