Poems for students’ reciting

Apples are sour.

Apples are sweet.

Apples are juicy

And nice to eat.

Out in the garden,

Under the sun.

Grew lots of carrot,

So I picked some.

This is a tomato

In his shiny red suit.

You think it’s a vegetable.

But it is a fruit.

Pumpkin is the queen of fields,

Mother of all vitamins,

Soft inside, but from the top

Looks like proud orange globe.

An apple is red.

A blueberry is blue.

A banana is yellow.

A lemon is, too.

A carrot is orange.

An orange is, too.

Fruits and vegetables

Are good for you!

Tomatoes and carrots

Cabbage and peas

Look so yummy

All red and green.

So little children

Eat them everyday

To make you grow

Strong and smart.
