The story happens in a small town called Hawkins. Eleven is a girl with supernatural powers. She can move things with her mind, but she often gets a nosebleed. Her new friends are Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. They like to hang out in the basement and play games.

One day, their friend Will goes missing. The boys start an investigation to find him. They use walkie-talkies to talk to each other. Mike says a very important phrase: "Friends don't lie." This is their main rule.

There is a scary place called the Upside Down. It is a dark dimension full of monsters. The most dangerous monster is the Demogorgon. It has a face like a flower but it is very creepy. Eleven is the only one who can fight it.

The kids are very brave and they never give up. They ride their bikes everywhere to solve mysteries. Dustin always has pudding and snacks in his backpack. Sometimes they are scared, but they stay together. They have a strong bond of friendship. Their adventure is strange and dangerous. But in the end, they always help each other.
