Which of them do you like best of all?

 Guess what holidays do you associate with these pictures?

There is one mistake in the each of the sentence. Find and explain.

1) Christmas, Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Monday, Easter.

2) Carols, presents, Easter’s eggs, Christmas tree, star.

3) Balloons, cakes, a teddy-bear, candles, invitations, cards.

1. The teacher presents new words according to the topic “Christmas (flashcards are a classic teaching tool and make introducing new material, such as vocabulary words). At first, pronounce each word, have students repeat each word as a class, and prompt them  the translation. 
2. Teacher: Dear children watch the video very carefully. (In this video, kids learn about the traditions in Great Britain.)

Work in pairs. One of you is a child from Great Britain. Answer his/her questions. Use the words from the box.

• When do you have Christmas in Ukraine?
• Does Santa Claus bring presents to Ukrainian children?
• What do people usually do before Christmas in Ukraine?
• Have you got Christmas parties? What do you usually do at them?

Each pupil get a card. He/she should find a pupil with the corresponding theme and make a group. The group, that is created the first, will win.
