Creative Activities in Class
1.In pairs think of suitable creative punishments for these crimes.

2.In a group discuss why social networking sites are the best form of communication on the Internet (or not the best) and why. Think of pros and cons about using a social network. Prepare a report on a social networking site, why it is good or bad. The report can be presented to the rest of the class to discuss or put on the wall.
3. Put students into groups of five. Elicit to the board all the linking words. Then give each student in each group either an adjective of emotions, feelings or a dramatic synonym, for eaxample delighted, overjoyed, pleased, relieved, thrilled, anxious, broken-hearted, desperate, furious, devastated, scared, tense etc). In groups students construct a story, first orally, using all the words at their disposal and as many of the linking words on the board as possible. When they have completed their construction, they write it down. Groups then swap stories for correction and comment. Get feedback from the whole class and decide, as a whole class, which story was the best.
4. In small groups students imagine they are university Ss and it is the first week of university. They are all members of the same organisation or club and they have to try to ‘sell’their club to the rest of the class. Give Ss time for preparation. Students give their presentations and at the end elicit from students which club they most prefer.
