Student 1: It’s summer time, sun is strong,

Student 2: It’s summer time, days are long,

Student 1: It’s summer time, out of school,

Student 1: It’s summer time, leaves on the trees,

Student 2: It’s summer time, frogs and bees,

Student 1: It’s summer time, after spring,

Student 2: It’s summer time, birds to sing,

Student 1: It’s summer time, before the fall,

Student 2: I like this season best of all.

Student 1: Dear ladies and gentlemen!

Student 2: Dear boys and girls, teachers and parents!

St.1: Welcome to our summer camp festival!

St.2: This summer we have a great opportunity to enjoy our time at the language summer camp Wonderland.

St.1: Let us start our Wonderfest with the lovely song “We are happy at the camp”. You may listen, sing and just enjoy it!

Summer Camp Song

We are happy at the camp,

Singing, dancing, playing,

Doing all we can.

We have Drama, Art and Crafts,

Culture class and Projects,

English, German clubs.

We play and draw, and do the sums,

We do the sports, perform and dance,

And we are happy to speak English all the time.

We make true friends and have much fun,

And we have use of all we’ve done,

Because we love the work and pleasure every time.

We are lucky every day,

Walking, having picnics,

Playing funny games.

Faithful teachers work with us,

We create together,

And perform in class.

We play and draw, and do the sums,

We do the sports, perform and dance,

And we are happy to speak English all the time.

We make true friends and have much fun,

And we have use of all we’ve done,

Because we love the work and pleasure every time.

St.1: We’re having much fun, we’re making new friends and playing interesting games here!

St.2: We read, write and speak English here.

St.1: Our camp is a real land of wonders for those who are keen on English and German,…

St.2: … who enjoy singing and dancing, performing and going in for sports,…

St.1: … who just love rest and fun.

St.2: You’re working in such sections as Art and Crafts, Culture, Drama, Projects and Sport. And today you have a great chance to present your skills, your results in each of them.

St.1: So enjoy our merry songs and dances, watch wonderful performers and just have rest and fun!

St.2: …., what section seems the most interesting for you?

St.1: I like them all. But I consider Drama to be one of the most interesting for our campers because they are so active and they can perform both in English and German.

St.2: Well, let us see what they can show us today. Dear “Kinguins”, you are welcome!

St.2: Thanks a lot. Your performing is extremely beautiful.

St.1: Besides stories about flowers our little friends enjoy funny comics and fairy tales. And one of them which is called “Cinderella” is to be presented here just now. Dear “Super stars”, you are welcome!

St.1: I’d like to say it’s rather interesting “Cinderella”. We thank you for such a good performance.

St.2: And here is the high time to welcome our team “The Best” and see how the fairy tale “Sleeping beauty” sounds in German.

St.2: While working with our campers, I have noticed that they also enjoy reciting poems. So let us listen to a beautiful poem “The English” performed by our “Kinguins”.

St.1: And now we are ready to turn one more page which leads us to the section Projects. Let us start with a little moving project which is done by our “Stars”. You are welcome!

St.2: Personally I think creating projects is a perfect time to express your thoughts, wishes and even emotions. Let us see how our “Kinguins” and “Super Stars”can do it.

St.1: Inna, you see our campers are rather good at creating projects.

St.2: And now it’s high time to open the next page, the section Culture.

St.1: So we welcome our “Super Stars”and their really talented  … with her wonderful gymnastic tricks.

St.2: As we see summer is a perfect time for dancing . We can dance in English or German, Polish or Ukrainian equally well. Our “Super Stars” will present us with their brilliant dance. Let’s enjoy it.
