Announcer: Good afternoon, ladies & gentlemen & the jury.
I’m sure you know why we have gathered here. Today we shall witness a strained competition between two teams. They will show how quick, witty & clever they are. It’s quite clear there are a lot of fans of our teams in this hall. I think they will do their best to support their teams. Everybody is going to get a lot of fun watching different contests. So, it’s the time to greet our teams. Here they are:
Team “Witty Heads” & Team “Brave Hearts”. Let’s welcome our participants!
And now we are going to witness the first contest, which is a traditional one. Of course, it’s teams’ greeting!
Team 1 gives a description of a thing we often use, but doesn’t name it.
Team 2 guesses & tells a word.
The activity stops when every member of a team tells his description .
III. Game “In my school we must…”
The first pupil in a team starts, e.g. In my school we must wear a uniform. The second pupil must repeat this & add another item, e.g. In my school we must wear a uniform & be quiet at the lesson. The third pupil must repeat this & add another item, etc. Pupils say the sentence in turn. They must remember what everyone has added to the list so far & then add another item. So the list gets longer all the time. If the pupil misses something from the list or can’t add a new item, he/she is out. The game continues until only 1 member of the team is left.
