Хід уроку

1. Організаційно - мотиваційний етап.

1) Greeting and aim:

Т: Good morning, children!

Pupils: Good morning, teaсher!

Т: Take your seats, please. I am glad to see you. Today we have an unusual lesson: English and Natural Science together.

Т: The topic of the lesson is “World around us”.

2.Warm-up

• Look at Countryside poster on the board. Brainstorm words associated with the topic, e.g. cows, trees.

• Elicit if any pupils or members of their family live in the countryside. Ask them to describe it.

• Game “The magical bag”

Aim: to develop imagination; to repeat the lexical units associated with the topic, e.g. cows, trees, house.

Instructions: Prepare the bag with the appropriate objects: animals, objects in the contryside. Choose one volunteer. The learner catches one object in this bag, not dragging out, and tries to guess what it is.

3. Presentation

• Present the flashcards to the pupils with the new vocabulary.

village

forest

river

island

lake

field

path

mountain

• Say each word for pupils to repeat. Check understanding.

• Make sure pupils don’t try to say the silent letter in island

• Game “What’s missing?”

Aim: to revise the lexical units; to develop attention and memory.

Instructions: Arrange the pictures with the new vocabulary in a line at the blackboard, then the kids close their eyes. Take one away, after opening their eyes, ask the learners which one is not there.

4. Listen and look. Then listen and say the words SB page 52 ex.1

• Elicit what pupils think is happening in the picture, where the friends are and who they are with (Ben’s grandpa).

• Pupils look at the numbered words and items in the picture. Play the recording. Pupils listen to the dialogue.

Then they listen to the numbered words and repeat.

• Play the recording again. Pupils repeat in chorus.

• In pairs, pupils practice pointing to the picture and saying the words.

•Pupils write the eight new vocabulary items in their vocabulary with translation.

Lucy: It’s great that your grandpa took us on this

lovely walk.

Ben: Yes, but I’m still thinking about the map.

Lucy: Me too. This next clue is a real puzzle.

Grandpa: OK, kids, are you ready?

Ben: In a minute grandpa. I’m still a bit tired.

Lucy: Where are we going next?

Grandpa: We are going to follow the path, down to the

river and then to the lake.

Ben: Grandpa, I’m very hungry.

Grandpa: Buster is also hungry. OK. Look at the field.

Can you see the small village?

Ben: Yes, I can.

Grandpa: There’s a very nice restaurant there.

Ben: Great! And how long will it take us to get there?

Grandpa: About an hour.

Ben: Oh, no!

Grandpa: We can play a game as we walk. I spy with my

little eye something with the letter ‘L’ in it.

Ben: Is it village?

Grandpa: No, it isn’t.

Lucy: Is it ‘island’?

Grandpa: Yes, it is. Well done, Lucy. Your turn.

Now, say the words: 1 mountain, 2 forest, 3 village,
