Objectives:

• to improve lexical skills;
• to revise and practice vocabulary on the topic;
• to improve speaking, writing, reading and listening skills;
•  to practice the usage of  Present Continuous and Present Simple;
• to develop pupils’ languages skills using interactive forms (group work, games, singing songs);
• to develop listening, reading, writing and speaking skills;
•  to develop pupils’ lexical skills;
• to develop grammar skills using  Present Continuous;

 

•  to develop skills to work in group;
• to develop pupils’ thinking, creativity and imagination;

 

• to bring up the interest in learning English.

 

Equipment: flashcards, a blackboard, a computer, video for listening activity, the song “Don`t put your trousers on your head Fred’, handouts.

 

Procedure

І. Introduction

1. Greeting

- Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you! How are you today?

2. Vocabulary Revision.

T: the topic of our lesson is “Clothes we wear”. We’ve learnt a lot of words to the topic “Clothes”. Let’s revise them.

( Учні стають у дві шеренги. Вчитель показує картинки із зображенням одягу. Учні повинні назвати, що вони бачать, хто сказав пізніше або помилився, той й де в кінець своєї шеренги, а той хто відповів правильно сідає на місце. І так поки всі учні не сядуть на свої місця.)

 

 

3.  Drill

T: Look at the screen. Read the poem.
 

What a mess ! What a mess !
No jacket ! No dress!
Where’s my sweater and my blouse?
Can you find my hat in the house?

T: Now read the poem again and fill the missing words.

(Учні читають вірш з монітора перший раз. Читають вдруге і заповнюють пропуски у вірші.)

4. Warming up.

T: Complete the sentences about clothes you see on the screen.

(Учні закінчують речення, які бачать на екрані. Завдання – зробити це швидко і правильно.)

5. Aim.

T: At our lesson you’ll speak about your favourite T – shirts, we’ll read, write, speak in English, listen to some information, sing a song, do interesting tasks to show what we can do on theme “Clothes”.

II. Main Part.

1. Checking the homework

T: At home you had to design your favourite T – shirt and to write about it. Let’s check your projects.

2. Grammar Revision

T: We’ve learnt what’s the difference between  Present Simple and Present Continuous  during this topic. To revise these tenses, let’s watch a video and do some tasks.
Put the sentences into correct column.

 ( Учні дивляться відео “ Grammar with Gran Woolly Jumper” (https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/ru/grammar-videos/the-woolly-jumper) про вживання Present Simple і Present Continuous. Після перегляду учні підходять до стола вчителя беруть речення на карточках, читають їх та прикріплюють на дошку у відповідну колонку.)

1. Gran is knitting a jumper.
2. Kitty is sitting on the sofa.

4. Kitty wakes up every morning.
5. Kitty feeds her hamster every morning.

3. Listening

T: Look at the picture and listen to the information. Your task is to write the numbers of the child whose description you’ve heard. After that  exchange your answers with your partner and check each other’s answers.

( Учні дивляться на зображення дітей на екрані, під кожним малюнком є порядковий номер, вони слухають диктора та записують номер тієї дитини, опис якої прозвучав. Потім на екрані з’являються відповіді, учні обмінюються роботами та перевіряють правильність своїх відповідей та повідомляють про них вчителю. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-e74J1qLGE)

4. Work in groups. Puzzles. Writing and speaking

T: You are given some small parts of pictures. These are puzzles. Find all parts of the pictures and write a description of what you see and make a presentation. Choose a person in your group who’ll be a speaker.

( Учні отримують шматочки малюнка - «пазли». Їхнє завдання зібрати в групах цілий пазл, описати і презентувати його у класі. Учні обирають одного зі своєї групи, хто буде презентувати опис малюнка.)

Pre-Listening Activity

(Перед слуханням та виконанням пісні, учні повторюють необхідну лексику.)

T: Before singing we need revise some useful vocabulary.
After-Listening Activity

(Після виконання пісні учні виконують тестове завдання за змістом тексту пісні. )

T: Great! Now let’s check your understanding of the lyrics of the song.

Do the second task! Choose the correct answer.

 

6. Running dictations.

T: Work in groups again. Now it’s time for the dictation, but it won’t be a usual dictation. Each pupil takes a turn and runs to the blackboard. You’ll find a text there. The pupil has to read a sentence in the order, come to the group and write with other pupils this sentence. If you are ready you’ll check your dictations.  

(Учні продовжують роботу у тих групах, у яких вони складали пазли. На зворотній стороні дошки прикріплені тексти диктанту. Учні з кожної групи по одному біжать до дошки, читають і запам’ятовують словосполучення чи ціле речення, повертаються до групи і диктують це речення усім решту, а всі учні записують його. І так, поки не буде написаний увесь диктант.)

    Lilly goes to school five days a week. At school she usually wears a school uniform. It’s a red jacket, a pink blouse, a red tie, a grey skirt and blue tights. Her school uniform is great! Today it’s rainy. Lilly is going to put her orange raincoat and green boots on.

 

7. Speaking (Інтерактивна технологія «Карусель»)

T: And now come to me, please and choose one of these small T-shirts you like: green or yellow. Those who have green T-shirts make a circle inside and those who have yellow – stand around them. Talk to your partner about your favourite clothes, change your partner every time you hear a clap. Then change your places. You have to talk with all your classmates. And remember what they say.

(Учні підходять до вчителя і беруть собі паперові футболки жовтого або зеленого кольорів. Ті у яких зелені футболки стають у внутрішнє коло, а ті у кого жовті – у зовнішнє. Учні повертаються один до одного обличчям і «жовті» запитують про улюблений одяг своїх партнерів «зелених». Після того, як вони чують оплеск – міняються партнерами. Коли «жовті» поставили запитання усім «зеленим», то кола міняються місцями і функціями. Після цього вони повідомляють,що вони дізналися про своїх однокласників.
