Speaking

T: Look at screen. Read the quotes and try to comment them (Slides 2-4)

  1.     “ Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work”- Confucius
  2.     “ Without hard work and discipline it is difficult to be a top professional”- Jahangir Khan
  3.     “ Find a job you like and you add five days to every week”- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

T: (Slides 5- 11) There are over 2000 professions in the world. All of them have their own special features. We spend a great part of our lives at the jobs, so choosing a right career is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. Each man makes own choice or follows advices of parents, teachers or friends. But making right decision is very difficult. So everybody must think about their future because in my own opinion every man is the maker of his\her own fortune.

Many roads are open before us: vocational schools, colleges and universities.

If the profession is not properly selected, it becomes difficult for a person to get success in it.

Life without an aim is like a ship without rudder. Those who aim at nothing achieve nothing.

A profession depends upon the ability and nature of a person. The question of choosing a profession is very difficult. It is a question of bread and butter. So we should not choose a profession in a hurry.

T: (Slide 12) Look at the Mind-Map “What factors go into choosing a career?” and add your own thought and ideas to it.

T: (Slide 13) Your job shouldn’t just be a source of income. It’s important to feel motivated and inspired in your career. It is more important to have a job truly love than great paying job.

(Slides 14-19) There are some qualities and skills employers are looking for. Try to comment each one in the list:

  •          communication skills,
  •          honesty,
  •          work ethic,
  •          flexibility,
  •          problem-solving skills,

T: (Slide 20) So, “ If you find a job you love, you’ll never work again…”- Winston Churchill said.
