  1. Warming-up activity

Teacher: Nice to see you, children! I hope all of you are well today. (Asking about the feeling).

  1. Reading activity.

Guess what? Today I have got a letter from my friend Jane’s son Tim. He is asking for our help. Let’s read the letter and find out what has happened to him.

Reading the text and working with presentation (communicative practice)

     Hello,

This is Tim. My mother’s name is Jane.

Yesterday we moved into a new big house, so tomorrow we are having a house-warming party. We invited a lot of guests to the party but our house is so untidy.  My mother is so tired as she works as a doctor in the hospital and usually comes home late. I want to help her and clean our house today before she comes from work.

There are six rooms in our house: two bedrooms, a living-room, a kitchen, a study and a bathroom.

I am very sad because I don’t know what to do.

Can you, please tell me what I can do to make my house clean and tidy?

  1. Writing: Revision of vocabulary (household duties)

Teacher: Now we are going to listen to the dialogue between the young singer Kate Brandon and the leader of a famous English TV programme. Listen to it very attentively and try to remember the household duties of the members of her family. Ex.3, p.34

Revision of the words

  • Names of rooms; - up/downstairs; - attic; - duties about the house; - electric devices

Every Saturday morning we have our Star Breakfast.

Today we are going to have breakfast with the youngest singer Kate Brandon.

  • Hello, Kate!
  • Hi! You are welcome, come in.
  • Thank you. You`ve got a nice house. How many rooms has it got?
  • Here is the hall, and this is our kitchen, a dining-room, a living-room and a bathroom downstairs. And we`ve got three bedrooms upstairs and we`ve also got an attic. We use it as my studio. I sing there every day. So, here is my room.
  • Oh! It is rather big and light.
  • Yes, it is. You can see my chest of drawers on the left and a lot of shelves with books on the right. And my bed is opposite the door.
  • Listen, Kate, your room and the house are very clean. Who tidies up the house?
  • Well, you know that I am very busy but every Saturday I tidy up my room. I sweep the floor with a vacuum cleaner, polish the furniture and water the flowers. And my elder sister does the washing up with the dishwasher and the laundry with the washing-machine. And my brother irons and cooks every day.
  • I see your family is very friendly.
  • Yes, it is. And now we can go to the kitchen. Our breakfast is ready.

Teacher: Listen to the dialogue one more time and choose the correct answer in the ex.4, p.34 with the help of plickers cards.

What rooms has Kate got and where are they?

Describe Kate`s room.

What duties have the members of her family got?

  1. Lesson summary. Household wheel.

Teacher: Please take a sticker and put in on the wheel and show what you are going to do today to help your parents about the house. Thank you for your active work today.

6 Homework

Тема уроку:  Household duties (Робота по дому)

 

Цілі уроку:

Практична:  Розвивати вміння та навички читання, аудіювання, письма,

                          монологічного  мовлення;

Освітня:     Розширити та Удосконалювати знання та вміння, набуті на уроках             англійської мови;

Розвивальна: 1. Розвивати логічне мислення, увагу та зорову пам'ять,

                          спостережливість, здатність до здогадки;

                       2. Розвивати усні комунікативні уміння з опорою на наочність;

                         3. Формувати вміння учнів брати участь у мовленнєвій взаємодії з

                          партнерами по комунікації в парах, у групах;

Виховна:      1. Виховувати доброзичливість та допитливість;

                       2. Підтримувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Завдання уроку: 1. Повторити лексичні одиниці теми «Робота по дому», ; 

                        2. Практикувати учнів у вживанні тематичної лексики в                    монологічному мовленні.

                        3. Повторити назви кімнат англійською мовою;

                         3. Удосконалювати фонетику та артикуляцію звуків.

Тип уроку:    урок повторення та закріплення вивченого матеріалу з

                        використанням    ігрових технологій.

Обладнання: Презентація, тематичні та лексичні картки,    підготовлена навчальна  дошка з усіма необхідними записами до уроку, інтерактивна дошка, відеоматеріал до уроку, дидактичний  матеріал, паперові листи, плакат, доступ до інтернет мережі.
