Objectives:

Equipment: a pupil’s book “Islands 4”, an activity book, flashcards, an audio CD, a TV, a video, wordcards, sweets, a box.
Procedure
Greeting. Setting up the topic.

Good morning, dear pupils. How are you today? How do you feel? Why?

Look at the cards on the blackboard. What do you see there? What do they show? (They show feelings and emotions). At our lesson we’ll speak about feelings that people can have in different situations.

Are you ready to work hard today? Let’s start with our chant.
Why is she smiling?
Because she’s happy.

Why is he drinking?
Because he’s thirsty.
Why is he eating?
Because he’s hungry.
Why is he shouting?
Because he’s angry.

Let’s revise our vocabulary. Come to me, look at the card and show an emotion. Other pupils should guess, then put a question. (ex. Why are you crying? - I’m crying because I’m sad). Cards: laughing, frowning, smiling, shaking, crying, blushing, yawning, shouting.
