Materials:pictures on the topic, a song,a magic box, an invitation card,handouts

Procedure

 

І. Introduction

1.Greeting

T:Hello, dear children.  Today  we have an unusual lesson, because we have guests. Turn around and say « Good day teachers! » You look very happy. It’s great! So, let’s start our lesson. But mind the rulers  of the lesson

Pupils, look at the blackboard. Here is a puzzle for you to do. There are some pictures. Name all the words in the pictures, take only the first letter of each word and you will read the topic of today’s lesson.

T: You are right.So the topic of our today’s lesson is Holidays in Ukraine .  (Objectives : to revise the vocabulary on the topic; to develop pupils’ reading, listening and speaking skills; to reinforce pupils’ knowledge of the topic)

 Now let’s describe holidays as many adjectives as possible using the letters (h,o,l,i,d,a,y,s ) and say the words or sentences. Use the structure “Holidays are ... , because ...  .”

In  the evening,   we have a big meal together. At midnight, we say “ Happy New Year!”  to each other and have fun Oh,  and there are fireworks all over.
