1. Warm – up. Aims.

Good morning, dear colleagues and guests! I’m glad to meet you here at our first practical training. My name is Ksenia Sergeevna. I’m a teacher of English at gymnasium 3. I hope this meeting will be useful and will help you in your teaching primary students the next year.

2. Presentation.

As Natalya Vasylivna said the main idea of our teaching is developing students’ skills. Tell me please what types of skills do you know?

(language, cognitive, thinking, the 21^st century skills /cooperation, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity/)

3. Practice.

• (individual work) During our session you’ll try to understand and identify what skills we develop during students practice. You’ve got PBs, Abs and worksheets. Let’s name skills and task types in your WS. (Reading). And now you’ll work individually. Look at the blackboard, open your PB or AB, find the task and tick in your WSs skills and task types that we develop using these exercises. You can also see these tasks at the screen. There are 6 tasks. I’ll give you 1 minute for 1 task. When you hear the bell, you’ll do the next one. 
• (group work) Now you’re going to discuss your results in groups. Stand up, please. Go around the classroom saying “Mingle-mingle”. Now make a group of three using your backs. Mingle again. Make a group of 5 using your knees. Now we have 5 (6) groups. Discuss your results. You have 3 minutes.

4. Check-up.

Now let’s check up your work together. Group 1,  name task types and skills according to the 1^st task. (Groups  2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Thank you very much for your attention. Hope to see you soon. You can take your WSs with you. And now you’re going to attend the next training in room № 12. (It’s high time to return to Assembly Hall).
