This article will be focused on the practice class of English -  how to make the lessons in primary school better by means of innovation technologies, games and interesting visual aids.

All pupils want to know English and teacher can influence on their desire to learn English, creating appropriate situations and circumstances to achieve knowledge they need.

English language is the aim and the way to teach. Famous English Methodist and linguist Harold Palmer said “Take care of the first stages and the rest will take care of itself”.

 GAME is the main activity on the lessons because children not enough developed to concentrate their attention to the material  of the topic. Games help children to understand difficult material  according to their age.

Exercises must occupy 80 persons of the lesson.

These are interesting tasks according to each stage of the lesson

Topic “Pets and animals”.

Practical Aim. To form dialogue  and monologue speech, read and listen words, word-combinations, text; write words.

Educational aim. To acquaint with new words and repeat vocabulary of the topic.

Developing aim. To develop skills of writing, reading, to train memory and attentive.

Cu[a]ltivating aim. Cultivate  prosperous relation to the animals.

1.              Warming up 

1.             Topic and aim will be puzzle question

• Good morning! How are you?(Interesting song to start with.) If you are well – listen the song and say what’s this song about? If you guess the objects of the song you guess the topic of the lesson. (учні можуть не знати назв тварин англійською, але вони все одно розгадають, що пісня про тварин)

Song  “OLD MCDONALD HAD A FARM”

What animals have you heard in this song? Cow, pig, horse, chicks, lamb.

• Also you can offer to children to make the picture from puzzles. Look at this book. You see separate puzzles. Make a picture and say what can you see on the picture?

2.             Phonetic drills

•  You’ll hear the tale. Казка про язичок Mr. Tongue, який зустрів тваринок і потоваришував з ними.

Жив собі язичок Mr. Tongue у своєму будиночку, а стінками в будинку були щічки – cheeks, дверцятами був рот – mouth. Одного разу Mr. Tongue побіг - run до річки погуляти. В річці він побачив  риб -  fish: великих риб -  big fish і малих риб -  small fish. Big fish плавали повільно, а little fish плавали швидко – swim, swim, swim.

Mr. Tongue поплававши, вийшов на берег і привітався – hello, how are you? – I’m fine, thank you – відповіла жабка і запропонувала пострибати. Вони стрибали jump, jump, jump. Вони так весело стрибали, що розбудили папугу - parrot, який спав на сусідньому дереві. Вони привіталися з ним hello і запропонували разом погратися. З того часу всі вони стали друзями friends.

• Have you ever seen a pony? Of course, you have. Ponies are very popular in England. That’s why when English children play hobby-horse they imagine a pony before them. Now let’s divide into two groups: first group will be riders, the other will be ponies.  Sound [ ev ] don’t similar to native Ukrainian language.

Багатослівний переклад pet – домашній улюбленець, пестити, улюбленець. Англійці дуже дбайливо відносяться до тварин , вони прищеплюють цю любов своїм дітям. Тому майже у кожного вашого ровесника у Великій Британії є якийсь домашній улюбленець – a  pet. A pet – це улюблена домашня тварина, яку доглядають з любов’ю.

Пофразовий  переклад It is a cat. – Це кіт.

Тлумачення рідною мовою tortoise – водо плаваюча прісноводна чи морська черепаха, turtle – це черепаха, що ходить по землі, живе вдома

Ви вже знаєте англійські назви деяких тварин, це допоможе краще підготуватися до відвідування англійського зоомагазину – a pet shop.  Багато малюків люблять дивитися цей мультик і знають його героїв.

Уявіть, що ви власники такого pet shop і хочете розповісти, яких тваринок ви в ньому маєте, для цього нам потрібно сказати фразу

  - I have got a cat. (presentation of grammar  structure)

Repeat after me:  I have got a cat. (repeating 2-3 times;automation of the structure)

I have got a tortoise. Choose from the list - I have got a cat. I have got a dog ect. – зорова опора на слайді, це нерозгорнута фраза, а ви зробіть розгорнуту, як гра “Snowballs” – I have got a big cat. I have got a brown cow. Etc. – відбувається монологічне мовлення – репродукція, підстановка, поширення, а згодом і комбінування ГС до інших тем.

2.     Speaking

• Puppet theatre (it can be puppet cat, dog, bear ect. I have tiger and beaver.)

Listen a dialogue and try to make your own.

(Ведмеді виходять, забігає маленька дівчинка)

2. Little Girl: Whose room can it be? I am hungry. (підходить до першої тарілки) Oh, this porridge is too hot for me. (підходить до другої тарілки) Oh, this porridge is too cold for me. (підходить до третьої тарілки) This porridge is just right for me. (їсть і тікає).

(З’являються ведмеді, які не бачать дівчинки, а вона їх бачить зі своєї схованки)

• GAME “Frogs”. Try to catch a black ball and describe your frog – colour, likes/dislikes.

3.     Physical activity

4.     Reading (poem about animals -  children keep in mind for example nouns, objects better than adjectives, abstract notions

• My pet

I’ve got the pets.

It’s a dog and a cat,

A guinea-pig and a rat,

Very kind, friendly, gay.

Clean and dirty, calm and naughty,

5. Listening

Listen the text and find the picture of the animal from the text.

I would like to tell you about fox. It is a dangerous wild animal. It has four short legs, a long fluffy tail, a black nose and clever eyes. 

3.                  Summarizing and homework

Mini project – make an animal and describe it. Це може бути огірамі, аплікація, малюнок, витинанка, вишивка, з пластиліну.
