Ведучий 1: Dear friends! We are glad to see you here at our Christmas Party. ! You know that 25-th of December is a great holiday for many people

Ведучий 2: Шановні друзі Ми раді вас бачити на нашому  різдвяному святі. Ви знаєте, що 25 грудня –це велике свято для більшості людей.

Ведучий 1. On that day such countries as Great Britain, the USA, France, Canada and many others celebrate Christmas. I hope you know why this holiday was named Christmas. 

Ведучий 2:В цей день такі країни як Великобританія, Сполучені Штати Америки, Франція, Канада та багато інших країн святкують Різдво. Я сподіваюсь ви  знаєте чому це свято назвали Різдвом.

Ведучий 1: Many-many years ago Christ was born. So this was the birthday of Christ. And since that time people began to celebrate his birthday - and named this holiday - Christmas.

Ведучий 2:Багато років тому народився Ісус Христос. Тож це було день народження Христа. І з того часу люди почали святкувати його день народження, і назвали це свято Різдво.                                                                                                             

Ведучий 1: And as every birthday it became a good, kind, merry and bright family holiday. Not only small children but people of all age wait for this day.

Ведучий 2: І як кожне день народження воно стало хорошим, добрим, веселим і світлим родинним святом.. Не лише маленькі діти але й дорослі будь-якого віку чекають на це свято.

Ведучий 1: Christmas is on the 25 th of December. Traditionally, Christmas festivities lasted 12 days. Yuletide begins in the middle of December and ends on the 6^th of January. All the children like this wonderful time because it is the time of much fun.

Ведучий 2:Р іздво святкують 25 грудня. Традиційно різдвяні гуляння тривали 12 днів. Pіздво починається в середині грудня і закінчується 6 січня. Усім дітям подобається цей чудовий час, тому що це час дуже весело.

Ведучий 1: Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. For millions of Christians throughout the world it is the happiest and the busiest time of the year.

Ведучий 2: Святкують, радіють, що Христос народився.

Що в яслах на сіні від нас явився.

В святковий цей вечір, в щасливу годину

Вітаємо щиро всю нашу родину

 Ведучий 1: Christmas is the most colorful and bright holiday of the year. There are    some Christmas traditions.

Giving  presents at Christmas is a good old tradition. Children hang stockings and during the night father Christmas  fills them with presents.

Ведучий 2:Р іздво - найколоритніше і найяскравіше свято року. Дарувати подарунки на Різдво - стара добра традиція. Діти розвішують панчохи і протягом ночі батько Різдва наповнює їх подарунками.

Ведучий 1:The tradition of giving each other the Christmas cards was established in 1843, when the first card was printed. Since then these cards became  the symbol of the holiday.

Ведучий 2:Традиція дарувати один одному різдвяні листівки була закладена в 1843 році, коли була надрукована перша листівка. З тих пір ці листівки стали символом свята.

Ведучий 1:Christmas pudding  is an old tradition that now is the highlight of the Christmas dinner. The coin is placed into the pudding. It brings luck to the person.

Ведучий 2:Різдвяний пудинг - це стара традиція, яка зараз є родзинкою різдвяної вечері. Монета поміщається в пудинг. Це приносить людині удачу.

Ведучий 1:Many years ago postmen has bright red coast. They looked like robins. As the brought many Christmas cards people began to think about a robin as a Christmas bird.

Ведучий 2:Багато років тому  листоноші  мали яскраво-червоне пальто. Вони були схожі на робінів. Так як вони приносили багато різдвяних листівок, люди почали думати про Робіна як про різдвяну птицю.

Ведучий 1:Queen Victoria and prince Albert  were the first who installed decorated Christmas tree in Windsor Castle in 1841. Since then  – decorating  the tree established as a custom.

Ведучий 2:Королева Вікторія та принц Альберт були першими, хто встановив прикрашену ялинку в Віндзорському замку в 1841 році. З того часу - прикрашання дерева, встановленого як звичай.

Ніхто не відповідає. Мишка забігає в рукавичку, а по галявинці скаче жабка.

Frog. What a pretty little mitten! Does anybody live here?

Mouse. I do, Mouse the Squeak. And who are you?

Frog. I am Frog the Croak. 

Mouse. Come and live here with me.

Жабка заскакує в рукавичку, а на галявинку вискакує зайчик.

Hare. What a pretty little mitten! Does anybody live here?

Mouse. I do, Mouse the Squeak. 

Frog. And I do, Frog the Croak. And who are you?

Hare. I am Hare Easily Scared.

All together. Come and live here with us.

Зайчик заскакує  в рукавичку, а на галявинку поважно виходить півник.

Cock. What a pretty little mitten! Does anybody live here?

Mouse. I do, Mouse the Squeak.

Frog. I do, Frog the Croak.

Hare. I do, Hare Easily Scared. And who are you?

 
Cock. I am Cock the Sweet Voice.

Півник залітає в рукавичку, а на галявинку, муркочучи, виходить котик.

Cat. What a pretty little mitten! Does anybody live here?

Котик залізає в рукавичку. На галявинку вибігає собачка.

Собачка залазить в рукавичку, а по галявині, обережно ступаючи, крадеться лисичка.

Лисичка, виляючи хвостом, залазить в рукавичку. На галявину виходить вовк.

Вовк залазить в рукавичку, а на галявину, важко переставляючи лапи, виходить ведмідь.

Bear. What a pretty little mitten! Does anybody live here?

Bear. I am Bear of Shaggy Hair.

Bear. The mitten is too small for me, I cannot live inside. So I’ll live on the mitten.

Учень 1: Christmas wreaths  Різдвяний віночок
It is usually hung on the door of a house.  Його зазвичай вішають на двері будинку. Many centuries ago the wreaths were presented as gifts on Christmas. Багато століть тому віночки дарували як подарунки на Різдво.

Учень 2: – Christmas star  Різдвяна зірка
A bright star appeared in the sky when Jesus was born. The star showed the way to the place of his birth. Яскрава зірка з’явилася  на небі коли народився Христос. Зірка показала шлях до місця його народження.

                                                         
Учень 3: - Candles  Свічки

Candles at Christmas go back to old times. People believed that their light helped him to forget the darkness of winter. Свічки на Різдво походять з давніх часів. Люди вірили, що їхнє світло допоможе їм забути зимову темряву.

Учень 4: Postcards  Листівки
People send greeting cards to all their relatives and friends. Люди надсилали привітання всім своїм родичам та друзям.

  Учень 5: – Christmas food  Різдвяні страви
For Christmas people eat traditional food: turkey, potatoes and green vegetables. Then they have the Christmas pudding.  .At 5 o’clock it’s time for tea and for Christmas cake  На Різдво люди їдять традиційну їжу: індичку, картоплю та зелені(свіжі) овочі..  Потім вони їдять Різдвяний пудинг.    5 година –це час для чаю та Різдвяного торта.

People usually buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, coloured balls and little coloured lights. Люди зазвичай купують ялинку і прикрашають її іграшками, кольоровими кульками та маленькими кольоровими вогниками (гірляндами)

At night Santa Claus comes. He has got a big bag of presents for children. He puts the presents into the children’s stockings.   Вночі приходить Санта Клаус. нього велика торба подарунків для дітей.   Він кладе подарунки в дитячі панчохи.

On Christmas Eve when children go to bed, they put their X-mas stockings for gifts over the fire-place. В переддень Різдва коли діти лягають спати, вони вішають свої різдвяні панчохи для подарунків на камін.
