Україна та Євросоюз» Під час проведення заняття- брейн рингу було досягнуто наступні цілі: -практикували комунікативні навички студентів в груповій роботі, -поглибили знання студентів про сучасний стан економічних відносин України та Євросоюзу. -розширили кругозір студентів, -формували навчальну та професійну мотивацію студентів. -розвивали відповідальність в командній роботі, -стимулювали розвиток креативного мислення студентів. -мотивували вивчати англійську мову за професійним спрямуванням, -виховували любов до обраної професії.

Мета заняття:

Навчальна:

-практикувати комунікативні навички студентів в груповій роботі,

-поглибити знання студентів про сучасний стан економічних відносин України та Євросоюзу.

Освітня:

-розширити кругозір студентів,

-формувати навчальну та професійну мотивацію студентів.

Розвивальна:

-розвивати відповідальність за команду,

-стимулювати розвиток креативного та незалежного мислення студентів.

Виховна:

-мотивувати студентів вивчати англійську мову за професійним спрямуванням,

-виховувати любов до обраної професії.

Удосконалювати реакцію студентів при виконанні поставлених цілей, виховувати увагу,підтримувати пізнавальний інтерес

Місце проведення : кабінет з англійської мови №469

Обладнання: емблеми команд, картки з питаннями, комп’ютер, комп’ютерні презентації, мультимедійних проектор, мультимедійна дошка

Учасники: дві команди, експерти, журі.

BRAIN-RING

contest

Objectives:

 

  •   to practice students' communicative skills in group work;
  • to develop the responsibility for the group;
  •   to stimulate students' independent thinking and creative imagination;
  •   to expend students' knowledge about their specialized subject;
  •   to widen their outlook about Ukrainian economic relations with the countries of the European Union;
  •   to develop students' critical thinking and creativity;
  •   to encourage students to learn professional English;
  •   to form students' educational and professional motivation;

Equipment: cards, computer, multimedia project, multimedia board.

Participants: two teams, experts, jury.

PROCEDURE

I. GREETING

PI: Hi! You! Smile! And all the troubles drive away.

P2: We'll play a game for you, we hope, dear guests, you'll enjoy it too.

PI: Enjoy our game; enjoy the "Brain-ring". We never say, "We can't", we always say, "We'll try".    P2:And we can climb to the hilltop, and never at the bottom stop.

 

  1.                     OBJECTIVES INTRODUCTION

T: Dear, ladies and gentlemen! Fm very glad to wel­come you to our intellectual English contest. It is a bril­liant competition of mind for those whose mental abilities are quite boundless. Our aim is to share our experience in developing professional  competence, to widen our outlook and encourage you to speak,

"Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you'll be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievements"

  1.                 TEAMS INTRODUCTION

PI: It's high time to start our game. I would like to introduce our honorable jury who will judge our teams today. And these are our experts; they know everything about the topics we're going to discuss today. If we have some doubtful questions, they will be able to help us,

P2: Today two teams take part in our contest. They are to accomplish a number of tasks. Then, according to their results, we will define the winner - the best and the smartest team.

And now meet our participants. Each team is supposed to have their particular features; the name and the motto. So let's get acquainted with them.

You can get from 5 to 1 point.

 

  1.                  WARMING-UP

T: The members of the teams have to utter the following proverbs. To check skills working as one team make up the situation with them. You can get from 5 to 1 point.

ROUND 1

Questionnaire

T: We're starting the first round. Both teams have to answer five questions. The first team starts, the other one follows. If the answer is not correct, the other team has a chance to answer, You can get two points for each correct answer. Ifou have 10 seconds for discussion.

T: You've coped with this task perfectly. Let's have a look at the points. The leader is .... But everything can change. Let's proceed with our contest.

ROUND II

Young Poets

T: Now the participants should make up a poem using the given rhymes. The teams can get from five to one point for their poems.

T: Let's give the floor to our jury. They'll give marks to our teams' poems. And now we're moving on to the next round.

ROUND III

Ask me

Т: In this round the teams will be asked five questions by each other. Earlier they've been informed about the categories of knowledge their opponents' questions are going to be related to. For the first team it's the national symbols of English-speaking countries, and for the second one - the outstanding peopfe of America. You'll have thirty seconds to think the question over. For each correct answer the team gets two points.

ROUND IV

T: The next round is for the captains of the teams. Please take your personal cards with the task to make as you can. What space names are hidden in the puzzle? The captains have only three minutes.

 

(While the leaders are working, the other members of the team have a little rest together with our guests with the music pause.)

     T: Explain the given below schemes. Mind the economics abbreviation. Solve the following tasks.

T: The time has come to announce the winner. According to the scores and the jury's decision, we can congratu­late the team ... with the victory. We're thankful to our teams, jury, teachers and fans. We wish good luck and success to everybody.
