Good Friends

Alice and Jane live in London. The girls are 10 years old. They are in the same class. Alice likes sport and she goes to the tennis club. Jane is fond of reading comics. Her favourite comic is Tom and Jerry. Alice often helps Jane to solve maths riddles because Maths is her favourite subject.

After school the girls usually go for a walk to the park. They play tennis and eat some ice-cream there.

Every weekend the girls go to the circus or to the cinema with their parents. Alice and Jane often watch comedies and cartoons.

In the evening the girls always do their homework and then read interesting books about magic. Alice and Jane are good friends.

II                     Reading       Tom’s School

Tom is from England. He is a schoolboy. He goes to school from Monday to Friday. School starts at 9 o’clock in the morning. Children usually have 4 lessons a day. They also have a lot of clubs.

Tom is happy to go to school because he meets his friends there. When he goes to school he wears a white shirt, a blue tie and a blue jacket. Tom has got his school badge on his cap. His school uniform is nice. 

Tom is not good at doing sums but he likes painting pictures. His favourite day is Monday because he has got Art on that day. At 12 o’clock children usually have lunch: some meat or fish, a glass of juice and a cake. During breaks children play outdoors.

School is over at 2 o’clock. After classes Tom plays football with his friends and then goes home. Tom likes his school very much.
