THEME: FOOD
Aim: To revise and consolidate vocabulary and structures learnt in previous lessons. To check Ssʼ progress and understanding of the new language items.
to improve lexical skills, to activise the vocabulary, to improve speaking and listening skills.

Equipment: a blackboard, a computer, CD, handouts, pictures of fruits and food, fruits, magic box, a basket, a rug, fly swatters, pictures of smiles, microphone, puppet.
Procedure
І. Introduction.
1. Greeting. Song “Hello”
2. Circle “How are you?”
II. Main part.
1. Carpet “Picnic”.
T.: I am going to have a picnic. I invite you too. Ok? So, let’s go for a picnic. Sit down on the carpet. I have a basket and there is some tasty food. Let’s have a look what is there. (Pupils take a card one by one and answer the questions). - What’s this? It’s a banana. (and etc.)
T.: Yummy! Yummy! Now we are full. Let’s play a game.
2. Game “Fly swatter”
T.: Make a line. Count up to 1,2. So we have 2 teams. Choose Fly swatters. Iʼll name some food and you run to the blackboard and touch. Then come back and stand behind.
3. Signal cards “Smileys”
T.: Show me please happy Smiley. Mmm! Yummy! Yummy! I like! Show me please sad Smiley. Yucky! I don’t like. Iʼll name some food and you show me please Smiley and shout “I like!” or “I don’t like”.
4. Physical break. Song “If you are happy and you know it”
5. Guest -puppet Grandmother with “Microphone”
T.: Who is knocking? Oooo!
Grandma: Hello children!
T.: Who is this? (It’s a Grandmother)
G: Where is my Microphone? Oh, my sweety, tell me please What’s your favourite food?
(Pupils answer “I like…” ). What you don’t like? (I don’t like…) Thank you my dear. Bye!
