Plan
- Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you again.

- Now, let’s listen, repeat the words, movements and try to translate. (Help children with the translation if there is such necessity)
- So, let’s sing the whole song together.
- Let’s listen and watch the video with the reading rule about “th”. Pay attention how we read the combination of letters “th”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psZQMVgqj08
Repeat the rule after me. “th” gives us tongue sound [z] (Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the necessary symbol for correct marking it in the transcription)
- Open you books at page 44 and let’s read the first part of the exercise with “th”.
-I read and you repeat after me by word.
- Now, children, you will read in a chain by one word. And let’s try to remind the translation of these words. (Help children with reading and translation if they need)
2) Reading “ar”
- Let’s listen and watch the video with the reading rule about “ar”. Pay attention how we read the combination of letters “ar”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL0hguTSVLo
- Repeat the rule after me. “ar” gives us long sound [a:]
– Come back to our books at page 44 and let’s read the second part of the exercise with “ar”.
-I read and you repeat after me by word.
- Now, children, you will read in a chain by one word. Let’s continue from that pupil, who we stopped at the previous time. And let’s remind the meaning of these words. (Help children with reading and meaning of the words if they need)
3) Reading “er”
- Let’s listen and watch the video with the reading rule about “er”. Pay attention how we read the combination of letters “er”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs_GKgCBvK8
Repeat the rule after me. “er” gives us sound [ᵊ] at the end of the word.
– Come back to your books at page 44 and let’s read the third part of the exercise with “er”.
-I read and you repeat after me by word.
- Now, children, you will read in a chain by one word. Let’s continue our chain. And let’s try to translate these words. (Help children with reading and translation if it is necessiry)
4) Physical exercise.
- Let’s listen, watch and repeat the words and actions after the characters of the video. (I chose the video, which is connected with the verbs we learnt in the previous theme for revision)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPMjnlTEZwU
- Let’s remind what these action-words mean, children.
5) Reading the sentences.
- Now, come back to your books at page 44. Let’s read the fourth part.
- Listen to me and repeat the sentences after me. (Pay children’s attention to such words as this\that\these\those\are\ruler\star\rubber\number\garden, which have the combinations of letters you’ve leant earlier at the lesson)
- Now, let’s read by sentence in a chain and try to give the translation of these sentences. (Pay children’s attention to the demonstrative pronouns you’ve learnt previous lessons, repeat their usage with them)
- Don’t close your books. Open your Activity Books. Find page 37 exercise 1. Let’s write necessary letters, which are missed in the words.
- Children, you did a very great. I’m very proud of you.
