Тема: Вільям Шекспір.

Клас: 9

Мета: поглибити знання учнів з життя В.Шекспіра,практикувати утворення питань,вдосконалювати навички роботи з текстом,розвивати усне мовлення учнів,креативність та вміння працювати у командах та невеликих групах,виховувати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови та повагу до культури країни, мова якої вивчається

Обладнання: цитати В.Шекспіра,його портрет ,роздатотковий матеріал – текст з пропущеними словами, таблиці для роботи у невеликих групах; мішечок з картинками для поділу на команди, питання вікторини про Шекспіра

Хід уроку

I.Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Aim.

Warm-up

T: Good morning! I’m glad to see you.

    Look at the board.There are some quotations which you know very well and often use in your everyday life.Who do you think they belong to?

All world’s a stage

All that glisters is not gold

Love is blind and lovers cannot see

To be or not to be, that is the question

T: It’s a very famous person.Have you got any ideas who it can be?

    I’ll help you a little bit

T writes the anagram of  William Shakespeare such as

MALILIW RAKESHAPEES

T: Who can find the name first?

T: You’re right! This famous person is William Shakespeare and today we’re going to find out more information about William Shakespeare and his life. At our lesson we will work into pairs, teams and small groups, improve your reading skills and develop your speaking ones

Brainstorming

T sticks the picture of  William Shakespeare  on the board and asks students what they know about the writer or what comes to mind when they think about William Shakespeare

Pair Work. Information gap reading

T: To check your ideas and find out more information about William Shakespeare, let’s read the text but there are a lot of gaps in it. In order to fill in them you should ask each other the questions.So now you have some minutes to write them down.

 T: Time’s up.Are you ready with your questions?

     Lel’s work into pairs.Ask each other in turns and complete the missing information.

T: Let’s check. Read out the text, please.

   Well done!

T: Reread the text and remember as much information about Shakespeare as you can because after that you’ll have to do the quiz.

T: I’ve got a sack with pictures, draw out them and make up the teams according to your pictures.

T: I’ll read out the questions and the answers, your task is to choose the correct variant. You work in teams

Writing. The longest sentence wins

Both teams form a line one behind each other in front of the board. Each team has to write the longest sentence.Each student can write only one word – then they pass the piece of chalk to the person behind them and move to the back of the line.

T: You have to write the longest sentence in three minutes. Each team gets a point for every word you write without mistakes

Speaking.Small Groups

T: Divide into small groups of five.Each student has the table with the questions.Ask your group mates and complete the table, and then report.
