Show pictures of New Year celebrations worldwide.
2. Presentation (10 minutes)
Distribute a short text about New Year's traditions in different countries. Highlight key vocabulary (e.g., fireworks, countdown, midnight, tradition, celebration).
3. Practice (15 minutes)
Play a short video or audio about different New Year traditions. Students match traditions with corresponding countries.
In pairs, students compare one foreign tradition with their country's celebration. Use phrases: In (country), people usually..., Unlike in (country), in our country....
4. Production (10 minutes)
In small groups, students prepare a short presentation about a chosen country's New Year tradition.
Present to the class.
5. Wrap-up (5 minutes)
Quick quiz: True/False statements about the traditions learned. Reflection: Which tradition surprised you the most?
