Тема: Halloween

Мета:  практична: введення нових ЛО до теми уроку та повторення раніше засвоєних;

тренувати учнів у вживанні ЛО до теми; тренувати навички аудіювання, читання  в слух;

            розвиваюча: розвивати навички всіх видів мовної діяльності, пізнавальної діяльності учнів, розвивати увагу і творчу уяву;

            виховна: формувати толерантне ставлення до культури країни, мова якої вивчається; виховувати культуру спілкування, розвивати почуття колективізму;

            освітня: розширювати знання учнів про свято Хеллоуін.

Тип уроку: формування лексичної компетенції.

Обладнання: комп’ютер, диск з презентацією, роздатковий матеріал, карточки для                             поділу на групи, магнітофон, касета, тематичні картинки по темі, оцінювальні картки.

                                                Хід уроку

I. Початок уроку

Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Greeting

T: Hello, boys and girls!

     Sit down, please.

2. Let’s learn a new poem:

                                The weather is good

                                The morning is bright.

                                How are you?

                                 - I am all right.

                                                                         I am happy to see you

                                                                         So shiny today,

                                                                         And I can tell

                                                                         That you are very well.

 Вчитель частково витирає рядки вірша. Учні повинні відновити вірш.

               3.Warming-up

T:  I am your new teacher for today’s lesson. My name is Svitlana Viacheslavivna and I like holidays. I like New Year’s holiday, birthday holiday and what about you?

T: Do you like holidays?

    What holidays do you like?

Вчитель кидає м’яч дітям і діти по черзі відповідають на запитання.

T: Now ask each other about holidays:

-Do you like holidays?

- What is your favourite holiday?

Say: What holiday do you like and what holiday does your friend like?

Ask our guests about holidays.

T: Good work.

                         II.Основна частина уроку

T: Look at the video

Діти дивляться ролик про Хеллоуін

T: What holiday is it?

Ps: It is Halloween

T: And what will be the topic of our lesson?

Ps: Halloween.

T: Yes, you are right. Today we are going to speak about famous American holiday- Halloween.

 At our lesson we learn new words, make up dialogues, write stories, sing songs and speak about Halloween.

                        2.Активізація знань

 T: What do you know about Halloween?

Ps: Halloween is a holiday for children. It is celebrated on the 31^st of October.

 T: That is true.

   There are special symbols of this holiday.

Let’s take a new “treat” [tri:t ]. Try to guess the meaning of this word from the exercise.

T: -Look! I have got a new basket with some food. Now I’ll ask you some. Take, please.

-          When I come to your table, I’ll ask you some treats for me and you must give me them. (Вчитель дає кожному учню помідор, огірок, картоплину, цукерки, шоколад і т. д. Коли вчитель підходить до учня,  він просить у нього солодощів.)

T: -O.K. Let’s start.

    -Trick or treat?

    - Trick or treat?

    - Give me something to eat.

At last I have got many treats. Now make up sentences about my treats, using these words.

Are you ready? What have I got?

Ps: You have got an apple.

      You have got a cake.

      You have got a sweet.

T: Very good, children.

     What is “treat” in Ukrainian?

 Ps: Солодощі.

    3. Введення нових ЛО по темі

T: The next word is “trick” [trIk]

     Let’s count all together.

     Close your eyes and count  1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

( Діти рахують з закритими очима. Вчитель в цей час переодягається в костюм відьми.)

      T: -Wow! I am a Witch! I have got a magic power. And I want to…!

           -Oh, Don’t afraid. It’s just my trick! It is my joke. (Не бійтеся, це лише жарт!)

       T: What is trick?

       Ps: жарт

       T: People sing different songs on Halloween.

           Imagine that I am a Witch and let’s sing my song.

           Take my song, please. (Дітям роздаються тексти пісні (додаток 1))

        T: -Oh. Some words are missing so you can’t sing my song.

              O. K. I‘ll do it myself and you must put the missing words while you listen.

             (Вчитель співає пісню, учні заповнюють пропуски.)

         T: Let’s check our work. Please, read the song.

             Good. Let’s read the song together.

             But be careful with the sound [w]. You must say it correctly.

(Учні співають пісню і виконують рухи, відповідні до тексту.)

T: It’s great! You are very good singers.

3. Group work

 T: Find your group, according to the picture. (Вчитель об’єднує учнів у групи)

      On Halloween people tell scary stories or “ghost” stories.

      Write a scary story to this picture. (Додаток 2)

       These words will help you: tree, ghost, house

  T: Are you ready? Please, read your story.

       They are very scary but interesting. You are really small writers.

   T: - There is a new word “ghost” in this text.

-          What is “ghost” in Ukrainian?

Ps: Привид

T: Yes, you are right.

     Now let’s make a ghost:

Put a peace of material on your hand.

Put a sting on your hand.

Draw a nose.

Draw a mouth and eyes.

-Oh? I have got a ghost. What have you got?

Who made the ghost first? The teacher gives some sweets for winners.

4. Listening

T: Listen to the text and say: What is Jack O’Lantern?

(Звучить текст. Після прослуховування учні  дають відповідь на запитання)

Ps: This is a pumpkin with a candle inside.

T: Yes, of course.                                                                

     Now we shall do our Jack O’Lantern ourselves.

(Вчитель робить з гарбуза  ліхтар).

     Our Jack is ready. Do you like it?

      I like it very much.

3. Заключна частина уроку

                                 1.Summary

Let’s repeat our new words all together: witch, ghost, trick, Jack O’Lantern, pumpkin.
