ПОЗАКЛАСНИЙ ЗАХІД З АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ

ДЛЯ УЧНІВ 5 та 6 КЛАСУ

«Boys or Girls?»

Мета:

• закріпити і перевірити знання учнів з вивчених тем, країнознавства, перевірити та показати компетентності учнів у перекладанні, поясненні значення слів, розумінні запитань та вмінні давати відповіді на них;
• розвивати пам’ять, мислення, логічне мислення, увагу, швидкість реакції, уміння працювати в команді, удосконалювати вміння брати на себе відповідальність, діалогічне мовлення, уяву, творчість, уміння реагувати в проблемній ситуації;
• сприяти вихованню цікавості до вивчення англійської  мови, почуття відповідальності та бажання спілкуватися англійською мовою, естетики мови й мовлення в англомовній атмосфері, дружніх відносин в колективі.

Обладнання: картки з фотографіями, тестові завдання, літери, мультимедійна презентація вчителя.

Plan

I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1.Greeting (Привітання): T: Good morning, children! – Ps: Good morning, teacher! T: How are you today? – Ps: We’re fine, thank you!

2.Aim (Повідомлення теми та мети): Today we’re going to play a game and to see if you are good in English. You’ll be organized into two teams “Girls” and “Boys”. You’ll have 7 tasks for your teams. The winner will be the team with the biggest quantity of points.

II. Основна частина

Round 1.

The first task is to group the  words by the categories . And for this task you have only 90 seconds.

Round 2.

The next task is very easy and difficult at the same time, because you must complete the proverbs! You have 1 point for every correct proverb.

6. There is no place…

8. Everything is good…

Round 3.

Your next task is to answer the questions as quickly as possible. For every correct answer you’ll get 1 point.

 Questions for boys:

1. The opposite of cold is…
2. The opposite of bad is…
3. What is the last month of the year?
4. What month comes before March?
5. How many minutes are there in an hour?
6. How many hours are there in a day?

Questions for girls:

1. The  opposite of white is…
2. The opposite of day is…
3. How many seasons do you know?
4. How many classes are there in our school?
5. Who is the head-master of our school: a man or a woman?
6. What month is the first of the year?

Round 4. «Who am I» (1 point)

One person of each team gets a mask. He/ She should guess who is he/she while asking general questions and the teams can answer only “yes” or “no”. Each team has 90 seconds.

Round 5. «Be attentive».

Now you have some objects on the board and your task is to remember them and then name them.

Round 6. «Spell the word».

Every member of each team will get one word that you’ll spell.

(classroom, season, notebook, blackboard);

(shopping, clothes, lipstick, eyelashes)

Round 7. «Players in a line».

Girls have to put boys in a line starting with the oldest to the youngest.

You have 90 seconds for this task.

Round 8. «Final round». Make up words (7 points max.)

Each team has letters. You listen to the definitions, guess the word and make it with the help of your letters. Each team has 90 seconds.

Letters for boys: t+n, i+a, k+m, p+e (green)

Words:

1. a word  what someone is called – name
2. the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues – time
3. a toy with which children can play when there is a light breeze – kite
4. a number of people, a group of people associated together in work or activity – team
5. a colour of pigs – pink
6. a food made of any animal – meat
7. to get something into one's hands – take

Letters for girls: t+b, a+e, s+l, n+l (orange)

Words:

1. It is a metallic device like a cup that makes a ringing sound when you shake it – bell
2. to continue; a word we use when we speak about some period in the past – last
3. high in stature – tall
4. a toy which has a round shape – ball
5. NaCl; one of species which we usually have on our table,a natural white mineral that is added to food to make it taste better  – salt
6. a bed made by an animal or especially a bird for its eggs – nest
7. to give information to – tell

Summarizing (Підведення підсумків ) : T: Let’s count the points and see who is the winner? What have we done today?
