МЕТА  УРОКУ:

• формування лексичних навиків: введення і первинна автоматизація нового лексичного матеріалу;
• розвивати  та контролювати навички усного мовлення;  
• стимулювати комунікативно-пізнавальну діяльність  дітей;
• розвивати пам’ять, увагу, творчі здібності учнів;
• формувати фонематичний та інтонаційний слух;
• навчити учнів працювати в групах і парах;

-   виховувати інтерес до культурних традицій свого та інших народів.

ХІД УРОКУ

1. Організаційний момент. Introduction.

T e a c h e r:  Good morning dear children.

 P u p i l s: Good morning sun, good morning sky.

                  “Good morning” – say together.

                  We like this day the best of all

                  And start the English lesson.

T e a c h e r: Thank you! I am glad to see you. Let’s start our English lesson. Tell me please, who is on duty today?

P u p i l 1: I am on duty today.

T e a c h e r: Who is absent?

 P u p i l 1: All are present today.

T e a c h e r: What day is it today?

P u p i l 2: Today is …..

T e a c h e r: What date is it today?

P u p i l 3: Today is the …..

T: I am sure you know something about holidays and today we read some information about celebrations in different countries of the world, we speak about Tea Party. I hope you will learn something interesting about  it and make an invitation card for tea party.

c) Answering teacher’s questions:

T: Well, let’s play a bit. Catch the ball and answer my questions. (T →P1, P2, P3 …)

– By the way, do you like holidays? (– Yes, I do)

– What holidays do you know? (either in Ukraine or in America or England)

Ps: Harvest Day, Christmas, New Year’s day, Victory Day, Mother’s Day, St Valentine’s Day, Birthday… T: Yes, why not? It’s the day when you were born and your parents were very happy. It’s really a holiday in every family.

– Which is your favourite holiday? (My favourite holiday is New Year’s Day. And what about you? Which holiday do you like most of all?)

4. Основна частина уроку. Main part.

• Введення нового лексичного матеріалу.
  • Вчитель вводить нові лексичні одиниці уроку, називаючи їх і показуючи учням малюнки, діти повторюють слова та закріплюють нову лексику.

• Читання учнями тематичного тексту A Tea Party.

• Післятекстове завдання

Виконання вправи 3,4 на стр.132.

• Закріплення нових лексичних одиниць.

- Father Christmas, St. Valentine’s Day card, presents, boiled eggs and chocolate bunny, pancakes, pumpkin;

- sweets, cakes and candies, chocolate eggs, pancake;

- wish a merry Christmas, say “Happy Easter”, wish “Happy New year”, have pancakes for lunch, sing, dance, get presents.

P1. Five o’clock tea in England

 According to a legend, one of ladies of the Queen Victoria, Anna Maria Stanhope (1783-1857), the duchess Bedford, was the creator of five o’clock tea drinking. She used to have a cup of tea with some cake at four o’clock. Later her friends joined her and they started to meet at five o’clock. That’s why the tradition is called five o’clock tea.

P2. Englishmen drink tea three times a day. The earliest tea is called “English Breakfast”. It comes at about eight. Then, at eleven or twelve time of “Lunch” comes there. “Tea Break” happens in the middle of the workday. “Five o’clock tea” is the most popular and favorite tradition of drinking tea and eating cakes with friends. After that, “High Tea” comes there in the evenings.

What  holidays and traditions of England do you like most of all and what do you know about them? And now take your day-books and write down your homework, please. Ex.5 p.132 and make an invitation card for tea party.
