SHOPPING IS FUN
Aim: to practice active vocabulary on the topic;
to revise vocabulary and communicative formulas to give pupils possibility to speak
in the situations;
to develop communication competence;
to develop listening skills;
to work in groups;
to develop the chief traits of a person character like tact, politeness, tolerance.
Equipment: the multimedia board, a notebook, additional cards for group work, audio and video recording.
PROCEDURE
І. The beginning of the lesson
1. Greeting
T: Good morning, children! Nice to see you! Today is Tuesday, the twenty-second of
February. It’s winter. The weather is fine and it’s high time to start our lesson.
2. Warm up
T: Let’s begin our lesson with a poem. Look at the blackboard and try to restore the
poem. Then say what is our topic?
Start your jumping, running, hopping

T: That’ s right. Our topic is ”Shopping is fun”
What other poems about shopping do you remember? Read the poem and fill in
the necessary words.

T: Shopping is very important in our life. We cannot imagine our life without shops. So by the end of the lesson you should be able

let’s do some creative tasks. Look at the board. You can see some images and
groups of words. You should match them and make up a word combination.
