NARRATOR:
Hello dear boys, girls and guests! We’re glad to meet here. Enjoy our play “Mary in wonderland”
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young girl lived in a castle. She was unkind, rude and had no friends. Her name was Mary. One winter's night, an old woman came to the castle and asked for shelter from cold. Mary didn’t like her, she turned the old woman away, but then the old woman turned into a beautiful fairy. She sent her to a long fairy trip. If she could learn to make friends, and earn her friendship in return then the spell would be broken. If not, she would remain alone.
(Narrator leaves the stage)
(An old Lady in shawl is knocking. Mary opens a door.)
Fairy: Help me, dear girl! I’m cold and starving! Let me in and give me some food.
Mary: No! Go away!
(Fairy takes off her shawl and turn into a beautiful fairy)
Fairy: Now you’re going to a long trip. If you can learn to help people, to make friends and earn their friendship in return, my spell will be broken. If not… you will remain alone forever!!!
Mary: Help!!!
(They turn around and leave the stage)
All sing and dance the song “Smile”
(playing on the piano)
Smile
Just one smile makes a dull day bright,
Just one smile makes a rainbow appear.
If you give your smile outside,
It will certainly return to you, my dear.
After seeing this, at once
Clouds may begin to dance,
And the sorrow disappears for a while…
Any river, any sea
Is beginning with a stream,
And the friendship is beginning with a smile.
