2. English is very popular and important nowadays. It is spoken all over the world, but it is also a native language in Great Britain, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

•      Hello, my friends! My name is Alice. I am from London, the main part of Great Britain. It’s also a world center of business, culture, education, sport and fashion. Situated on the river Thames it’s the country of fogs and rains. Everyone in the world dreams to see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Only here, you can see red double-decker buses and red phone boxes. I recommend you to visit Madame Tussaud’s museum with a great collection of waxworks of famous people or a Globe theatre opened by William Shakespeare. So, visit my country and you`ll stay here forever.

•      Hi, guys! I’m Jack and I live in Scotland, another part of Great Britain. My homeland is famous for its wonderful mountains and lakes. People believe that Loch Ness monster lives in one of the lakes. The national Scottish costume is the kilt and the musical instrument is bagpipe. The Scots like to sing and dance very much. By the way, a famous poet Robert Burns was born here. Do you know his poem “My heart in the Highland”?

•      Let me introduce myself. My name is Angela.  I`m from the USA, one of the richest country in the world. We, Americans, are proud of Statue of Liberty, Disneyland and Hollywood, the heart of movie production. I’m an American farmer and I’m wearing blue jeans. Jeans first appeared in America. American cowboys liked to wear jeans which are now popular all over the world. But my country is famous for McDonald, a fast food company. Do you like to eat hamburgers or chips at McDonald’s?  So, learn English and visit America.

•        Hello! My name is Brenda. I am from Canada. Some people in my country speak English and some of them speak French. Canada is large and beautiful. It is the country of lakes. Niagara Falls is the best- known natural wonder. It’s also covered with forests, so a maple leaf is our national flag. Canadians are fond of playing hockey. Our hockey team is one of the best in the world. If you want to go in for sports, you are welcome to Canada.

I like riding my bicycle

I’m fond of playing chess

My friend is good at judo

We are keen as you can guess.

On every kind of sport for sure

As it can even illness cure

Can bring for every girl and boy

So many moments of joy.

1. This country is not on the American continent. It is on the other side of the world, but English is also spoken here.

•      Congratulations! I am Lily! I am from Australia. Sometimes it is called Kangaroo land or the Lucky Country. Kangaroo is a symbol of Australia. It is interesting that there are animals and plants here that you will find nowhere else. So, if you want to see them, visit my country

I had at the zoo,

Watching animals run

And feeding them too.

A mouse in the cage -

Just nothing to mention,

To the elephant rage

Paid no attention.

But of all the rest…

The monkeys are the best.

Their happy play-

Makes everyone gay.

They got the sweets I had,

I gave them nuts too.

So they also were old-

2. To be intelligent you have to know some foreign languages. As a proverb says “As many languages you know, as many times you are a man!” For example , I speak not only  English but also Italian.-- відео

Привіт! Мене звати…. Я з Німеччини.  Її часто називають землею поетів і  композиторів,  Бах, Мендельсон, Бетховен, Вагнер народилися тут. Німці дуже люблять читати, особливо молодь віком від 14 до 19 років. Одним із основних видів транспорту є велосипед, навіть взимку. У Німеччині є близько 1500 видів ковбас, 300 видів хліба і приблизно 5 тисяч сортів пива.  Німці придумали жувальну гумку. Туристи можуть відвідати понад 150 красивих  замків. Моя країна є одним з найбільших виробників автомобілів, таких брендів, як Volkswagen, Mercedes, Audi і BMW. Тобі сподобалась Німеччина? Починай вчити німецьку і скоро зустрінемось!
