Обґрунтування інтеграції:

English (CLIL): Активізація лексичного матеріалу «Частини тіла тварин», закріплення граматичної конструкції It can / can't..., розвиток навичок аудіювання та говоріння.

STEM-компонент: Дослідження понять «гравітація» (сила тяжіння), «рівновага» та «тертя» через практичне конструювання паперової рухомої іграшки (кінематична модель за принципом пасивного крокування).

Очікувані результати:

Предметні (англійська мова): Учні впевнено називають частини тіла тварини (head, legs, tail); використовують у мовленні структури It has got..., It can walk / It can't jump.

Міжпредметні (STEM): Учені розуміють принцип дії сили тяжіння (чому іграшка рухається вниз); усвідомлюють важливість симетрії та балансу в інженерії; розвивають дрібну моторику (робота з ножицями, згинання паперу).

Ключові компетентності: Спілкування іноземними мовами, основні компетентності у природничих науках і технологіях, уміння вчитися впродовж життя.

Обладнання та матеріали:

Готовий демонстраційний зразок паперової собачки (Toby).

Роздруковані шаблони крокуючої тваринки для кожного учня (цупкий папір/картон).

Кольорові олівці або фломастери, ножиці.

Похилі площини для запуску іграшок (тверді папки, книжки великого формату, дерев'яні або пластикові дошки для фінального треку).

LESSON PLAN

I. INTRODUCTION 

Hello, children! Look, who is here? This is my friend — Toby. Toby is a pet. Is he a real dog? No, he is made of paper. But look! Toby can walk!

Today you will be engineers. We will make our own pets that can walk.

II. VOCABULARY REVISION

Before we start, let’s check if Toby has everything he needs to walk.

What is this?

Does he have legs? How many? Let’s count: one, two, three, four.

And this is a long...(tail)

Great! Repeat after me: It has got a head. It has got four legs. It has got a tail.

THE SECRETS OF AN ENGINEER

Wait, little engineers! Before we start, Toby has three secrets. If you don't know them, your pet won't walk. Listen carefully!

Secret 1: Magic Hooves

Look at Toby’s legs. Are they square? No! They are round. Why? To roll like a ball! When you cut, make the legs a little bit round at the bottom.

Secret 2: The Balance

Your pet has four legs. They must be equal. If one leg is short and one is long, the pet will fall. Stand straight! Your pet must stand straight too!

Secret 3: The Power of Gravity

Why does Toby walk? Because the Earth is a big magnet. It pulls everything down! This is Gravity. To help Gravity, we need a slide. No slide — no walk!

III. ENGINEERING PHASE

I give you a magic template. Let’s work step by step.

Step 1: Decorating.

Your pet needs eyes and a nose. Take your pencils. Draw eyes and a nose. What color is your dog/cat?

Step 2: Cutting.

Take your scissors. Be careful! Cut the solid lines. Don’t cut the dotted lines!

Step 3: Folding.

Now, let’s fold.

1.  Fold the legs down. One, two, three, four.

2. Fold the head up. Hello, pet!

3. Fold the tail.

IV. THE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

Now, the magic moment. Can it walk? Let’s try! Put your book like this. It’s a slide. Put your pet on the top. One, two, three... Go!

Look! My pet is walking. It can walk! Say together: "It can walk!"

Teacher: Can it jump? No, it can’t. Can it skip? No, it can’t. But it can walk!

V. THE BIG RACE

Okay, little engineers! It’s time for a race. Look at my desk. Is it flat? No, it’s a slide. It’s our racetrack! Attention, please! Put your pets on the start line. Hold them with your finger.

Repeat after me: Ready... Steady... GO!

Look! The pink cat is moving! It can walk! It is very fast!
