British tea traditions.
Tea plays an important role in British culture. British people drink tea every day. Often several times a day. The most popular types of tea in Britain are black tea with milk, Earl Grey and English Breakfast.
One of the most famous tradition is afternoon tea. It usually takes place between 3 and 5 p.m. People enjoy tea with milk, scones, sandwiches, cakes. Another tradition is high tea, which is more filling evening meal.
British tea etiquette is also important. People usually pour tea first and then add milk. Tea is served in cups, not mugs, during formal tea time.
