Техніка перекладу текстів з англійської мови (зручний алгоритм + корисні прийоми), які допоможуть перекладати точно, грамотно і природно українською.
1) Підготовка перед перекладом (1–2 хв):
- Швидко прочитай весь текст (не перекладай одразу)
Мета: зрозуміти тему, стиль, мету автора.
Визнач:
- жанр (новина, лист, інструкція, художній уривок);
- час і контекст (теперішнє/минуле, офіційно/неофіційно);
- ключові слова (терміни, імена, абревіатури).
2) Основний алгоритм перекладу (покроково)
Крок 1. Знайди граматичну основу речення
- Хто? (підмет) + що робить? (присудок)
Напр.: The teacher explained the rule.
Вчитель пояснив правило.
Крок 2. Визнач час і вид дієслова
Present Simple – регулярність/факт
Past Simple – дія в минулому
Present Perfect – результат/досвід (часто: “вже”, “щойно”, “ще не”)
Крок 3. Переклади другорядні члени речення
Після основи додавай:
- об’єкт (кого? що?);
- обставини (де? коли? як? чому?);
- означення (який? чий?)
Крок 4. Зроби переклад “природним” українською
Не перекладай слово в слово — важливо передати зміст.
3) Найважливіші прийоми перекладу:
1. Смисловий переклад (а не дослівний)
I’m cold. - Я холодний. / Мені холодно.
2. Перестановка слів (зміна порядку)
Англійська часто має строгий порядок, українська — вільніший.
She only told me yesterday. - Вона сказала мені лише вчора.
3. Додавання (якщо треба для змісту)
He nodded. - Він кивнув головою. (додаємо для природності)
4. Опущення зайвого
I think that it is important… - Вважаю, що це важливо… (без зайвих слів)
5. Узагальнення або уточнення
vehicle → транспорт / автомобіль (залежить від контексту)
4) “Пастки” англійської мови (будь уважна):
1. False friends (хибні друзі перекладача)
magazine ≠ магазин → журнал
actual ≠ актуальний → фактичний / реальний
fabric ≠ фабрика → тканина
artist ≠ артист → художник;
2. Фразові дієслова
give up → здатися / покинути
look after → доглядати;
3. Ідіоми (не перекладати буквально!);
It’s raining cats and dogs./ Ллє як з відра.
4. Пасивний стан
The book was written in 1990. - Книгу написали у 1990 році / Книга була написана…
5) Як перекладати складні речення:
- Розбий на частини:
головна частина,
підрядна (who/which/that/when/because/if)
Приклад:
Students who work hard usually achieve better results. / Учні, які старанно працюють, зазвичай досягають кращих результатів.
6) Перевірка після перекладу (обов’язково!)
Після перекладу прочитай український текст і перевір:
- чи зрозуміло без англійського оригіналу;
- чи немає русизмів/кальки;
- чи збережено стиль (офіційний/розмовний);
- чи правильні терміни та часи.

Sleep is often treated as a luxury, but it is one of the most important biological processes in the human body. During the night, the brain does not simply “switch off”; instead, it performs complex tasks that support learning and memory. Research suggests that new information is processed and organized while we sleep. This is one reason why students who sleep well tend to perform better at school. Sleep also plays a crucial role in emotional regulation. When people are sleep-deprived, they are more likely to feel irritated, anxious, or overwhelmed. In addition, the immune system becomes weaker, which increases the risk of illness.
Many teenagers do not get enough sleep because of homework, social media, and irregular schedules.
Unfortunately, caffeine and energy drinks can make the situation worse by delaying natural tiredness. Experts recommend creating a consistent bedtime routine to help the body recognize when it is time to rest.
Reducing screen time at least one hour before sleep can significantly improve sleep quality. A dark, quiet room with a comfortable temperature is also beneficial. Even small changes, such as avoiding heavy meals late at night, can have a positive effect. Over time, healthy sleep habits improve concentration, mood, and overall productivity. In short, sleep is not wasted time—it is an essential investment in physical and mental health.

Завдань для студентів під час педагогічної практики (англійська мова) саме з теми “Техніка перекладу”. Завдання можна давати як на уроці, так і для самостійної роботи / звіту практиканта.
1) Аналітичні завдання (перекладацьке мислення):
- Визначити стиль тексту (офіційний/публіцистичний/художній/науковий) і пояснити, як це впливає на переклад.
- Підкреслити граматичну основу в 10 реченнях і перекласти, зберігаючи зміст.
- Знайти 10 “перекладацьких труднощів” (фразові дієслова, пасив, ідіоми, герундій, умовні речення) та дати варіанти перекладу.
- Скласти міні-глосарій до тексту (15–20 слів) із перекладом і контекстом.
- Знайти 5 “false friends” у тексті або з теми й пояснити правильний переклад.
2) Практичні завдання на перекладацькі трансформації:
- Перекласти уривок і підписати, де використано: перестановку / додавання / опущення / узагальнення / конкретизацію.
- Перекласти 10 речень двома способами: дослівно, стилістично правильно українською (порівняти).
- Переписати переклад так, щоб він звучав більш академічно / більш розмовно.
- Перекласти текст, але уникати кальки (позначити “кальки”, які хотілося зробити).
- Переклад із завданням: зберегти логіку зв’язків (however, therefore, although, moreover).
3) Завдання на граматику в перекладі:
- Перекласти речення з Present Perfect / Perfect Continuous і пояснити вибір українського часу.
- Перекласти 10 речень з пасивним станом, запропонувати 2 варіанти:
пасив/ актив (природніше українською).
- Переклад речень із інфінітивними конструкціями (to do / to have done) та коментар.
- Переклад речень з герундієм (Reading helps…) різними способами (іменник/дієслово/підрядне).
- Переклад умовних речень 0–3 типу з поясненням.
4) Лексика та сталі вирази:
- Перекласти 10 фразових дієслів у контексті + скласти свої приклади.
- Перекласти 10 ідіом і підібрати українські відповідники.
- Дати переклад 15 колокацій (сталих словосполучень) з теми: освіта, медіа, екологія.
- Знайти у тексті терміни та визначити: перекладати калькою чи описово.
- “One word – many meanings”: перекласти слова issue, matter, approach, development, provide у різних контекстах.
5) Редагування перекладу (дуже важливо для практики):
- Дати студенту “сирий переклад” і попросити відредагувати (лексика, стиль, логіка).
- Знайти й виправити 10 помилок перекладу (русизми, калька, неправильний час).
- Перевірити переклад за чек-листом:
точність – зрозумілість – стиль – терміни – пунктуація.
- Порівняти два переклади одного тексту й обґрунтувати, який кращий.
- “Back translation”: перекласти укр.→англ. і порівняти з оригіналом (побачити втрати змісту).
6) Завдання для звіту практиканта / портфоліо:
- Оформити перекладацький аналіз тексту (мета, стиль, труднощі, рішення).
- Підготувати урок/фрагмент уроку на тему “Translation techniques” для 10–11 класу.
- Створити картки (Quizlet/таблиця) з фразовими дієсловами й прикладами.
- Розробити тест на переклад (10 завдань) + ключі й критерії оцінювання.

Some learners give up because they feel they are not good enough. It is important to stay motivated and set realistic goals. In the end, language learning becomes easier when it is connected to real life.

Therefore, raising public awareness is essential for fostering environmentally responsible behavior. Moreover, comprehensive environmental education can promote long-term sustainable development. Формат: група 4–6 осіб
Мета: показати важливість узгодженості стилю
Матеріал (текст із 5–6 речень)
Кожен студент перекладає одне речення, не бачачи попередніх перекладів.
Етапи:
-Переклад “по колу”.
-Група отримує готовий текст.
-Спільне редагування: стиль, терміни, логічні зв’язки
