Text “The Present for Mother”
Ann and Peter woke up in the morning. They were excited as it was Mum’s birthday. They took money from their piggy-bank and counted it. There were thirteen dollars.
“Good! What shall we buy for Mum?” – asked Ann.
“She likes books and flowers,” – remembered Peter. “She likes old things too. Let’s find some shop, where we can buy an old book.”
The children were going down the street. There were many shops with food, clothes, toys, books. Suddenly the children saw an old door with the words “Good Old Things”. They opened the door and entered a dark room full of different things. To the right there was an old bookcase full of newspapers and magazines, old books and albums. In the upper shelf Ann saw a big blue book. The only words printed on it said: “Your Magic Adventure”. “That’s it” – cried Peter and took the book.
