Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine. It's one of the oldest cities of Europe. Kyiv is situated on the picturesque banks of the Dnipro river. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. The population of Kyiv is about 3 million people. The main street in Kyiv is Khreschatyk Street. The main square in the capital is Independence square.

There are many places of historic interest in it. Among them there are the Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra, the Golden Gate, St. Sophia’s Cathedral, the Golden Gate, Mariyinskiy Palace, the House with Chimeras and others. Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra is an ancient monastery, founded in 1051. The Golden Gate was the main entrance to Kyiv. Mariyinskiy Palace is the official residence of the President of Ukraine. Doing household chores is a necessary part of our life. I am Ben and I have a lot of duties. My parents are often tired and I must take care of them. Everybody is happy when their home is bright and clean. I think that doing my household chores is fun. I sweep the floor, tidy my room, clean the shoes, dust the furniture, make food myself and do every kind of work. It's not easy to do every kind of work at home, but I try to learn doing everything myself. Very often I go to the market with my mother. We buy some vegetables and fruit.
