Twin towns

The existence of twin towns and sister-cities is based upon the signed agreements between the definite countries. 

The earliest form of town twinning developed between the countries of the Asian region in the 7^th century. 

The twin-towns usually have common specific features that help to develop cultural and economic ties between them on the state level. 

There is a great amount of twin-towns and sister-cities in different regions of the world. 

The sister-cities and twin-towns must be situated within the borders of one economic space. 

Cities abroad don’t have similarities with the Ukrainian ones. 

The “Iron Wall” that existed during the times of Soviet Union and the peculiarities of its foreign policy didn’t allow it to establish economic and cultural ties with the cities abroad.
