Objectives:

• To practice the vocabulary on the topic ”Food and Meals”;
• To train in using the verbs “ have/has got/ like /don`t like/ would like;
• To develop pupils` reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills;
• To encourage creative thinking through the group and project work;

Learning outcomes.

By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to:

Talk about their meals.

Procedure

 

 

Introduction.

1. Greeting

T: Hello! How are you?

P1 –I am OK? What about you?

P2 –I am happy! What about you?

P3 –I am all right! What about you?

P4 –I am nice!

 

2. Presentation of the topic and objectives of the lesson.

T: Look at the board and guess the topic of the lesson.

“ ODOF AND EALSM” ( Food and Meals)

T:  Yes. Well done! The topic of our  lesson “ Food and Meals”

Today  at the lesso we are going to remember all fruit and vegetables, food what you like and don`t like, play games, do exercise and have fun.

Warming up

Game “ Likes and dislikes

(Учитель кидає м’яча та називає слово з теми, повинні скласти речення за зразком) 

P1- I would like soup.

P2- I don`t like soup.

Main body of the lesson

1. Vocabulary practice

T: Divide the words into two groups “vegetables” and “fruit”

2. Listening

T: Listen to the story and complete the chart, tick what children like and what they don`t like.

*Tom has got a cheese sandwich and a glass of juice for lunch, but he hasn`t got a cake and fish.

*Ann has got meat, potatoes and a glass of milk for lunch, but she hasn`t got a cake and juice.

*Bill has got a cake and a cup of tea for lunch, but he hasn`t got a cheese sandwich and a glass of juice.

3. Speaking “ What`s your  favourite  food?”

T: My favourite food is pizza. What about you?

4. Read the riddles and guess them

*It is red and round. We make ketchup from it. (A TOMATO)

*They are small. They are round and green. (PEAS)

     5. Writing.

T: Make up sentences.

1. Got /a sandwich/ We/  for / breakfast/have
2. A glass/ he/ of milk/ has/ for/ supper/got
3. Would/ like/ she/ pizza/ a slice /of

6. Project work

Let`s work in groups. Make up a perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Cut your favourite food, make a poster “Meals” and present it.
