- To practise in recognizing, saying and visualization of graphic names of colours;

- To develop concentration of attention and memory

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the lesson the learners will be able to:

- name the colours;

- recognize the colours;

- reproduce the names of the colours introduced in previous lessons

‘Flip Flop’ game ( Whole class in 2 groups ) Listening
1. Teacher says, ‘Let’s play a game Flip Flop!’
2. Teacher unites the class into 2 groups, A and B.
3. Teacher gives instructions to learners.
4. Teacher gives 2 fly flaps to the first members of 2 teams.
5. Teacher points to varicolored pictures around the classroom.
6. Teacher says ‘red’. The members of 2 teams should run to the correct

red picture and flop over it.

After that they should return and pass the fly flap to the second member

of a team.

Teacher says ‘ blue, green, yellow, black, pink, orange ‘
Teacher instructs learners to start and continue until the

stop signal is given.

Teacher monitors extensively.

Using Flashcards ( Whole class ) Speaking
1. Teacher shows a colour quickly and hides it. Red, blue and
2. Learners should name the colour etc.
3. Children do this activity one by one.

Using Flashcards ( Whole class ) Reading
1. Teacher ranges children and gives them different

colours.

Teacher shows the card with the name of the colour
Learners should try to read the name of the colour and pick up

this card according to his / her colour.

‘ Simon Says’ ( Whole class ) Listening
1. Teacher says, ‘Let’s play a game Simon Says!’
2. Teacher gives some instructions

Simon says , ‘Touch red’ and learners should find and touch

something red. Simon says, ‘white, pink, orange, brown, grey, green.

5.3 Teacher monitors this activity.

‘ Is it … ? ‘ Yes, it is. No. it isn’t. ( Pair work ) Speaking
1. Teacher gives cards with different colours to each child .
2. Learners should show the colour to his / her neighbor and

ask,’ Is it red?’ His / her neighbor should say, ‘Yes, it is.

No, it isn’t.

After that learners should a role reversal.
Teacher goes around the classroom and monitors extensively.
