Topic: Things we like doing.

Objectives:

To stimulate students to ask and answer about what people like doing and what they are good at;

To practise writing when people are happy;

To develop Ss’ speaking skills;

To encourage Ss  to do sports

Aims for students :

You’ll be able to ask about what people like doing;

You’ll be able to ask about what people are good at;

You’ll be able to write when people are happy.

Equipment:  computer; cards for individual, pair, group, work;  pictures, a cartoon.

Procedure

Greeting.

-Good morning, children!  How are you? Are you ready to work hard today? Are you ready to speak English? Then, let’s start.

I.  Warming-up

I’ve got a magic bag. Guess what’s there?

What about looking through the key –hole and see what is in the pictures. (the pictures of sport)

II. Vocabulary revision

Showing-game (S1 imitates sport, others name it)

III. Motivation. The aim of the lesson.

Is travelling a kind of sport? Do you like travelling?

So, today we’re going to travel by train and our modern and comfortable train is waiting for us. Till the end of our travelling you’ll be able to ask about what people like doing;  You’ll be able to ask about what people are good at; You’ll be able to write when people are happy.

But we can’t get into the train without tickets. In front of you you can see yellow smiling faces. So, if you want to travel you should smile. Let,s go.

IV. Presentation.

(Station 1) Learn with Oscar

 Ss read the sentences on page 81.

2 groups of Ss fill in the gaps on the board

(Station 6) The cartoon Ss watch a cartoon about Vinnie-the- Pooh and tell about him.

He likes honey. He is good at singing. He is happy when he is eating honey.

(Station 7) Project

Ss draw a character and write about him/her.  Then present it to the other group.

(Station 8)   Summarizing.

Ss put the smiling faces near the station they liked most of all.
