Урок англійської мови у стилі STREAM   4й клас

Тема: «Цікавий світ тварин»

Мета:

навчальна: активізувати та закріпити вивчений лексико-граматичний матеріал, розвивати вміння та навички читання, письма, усного монологічного та діалогічного мовлення, збільшення обсягу знань про соціокультурну специфіку мови країни, що вивчається, вдосконалення умінь будувати своє мовне висловлювання, мовну поведінку адекватно цій специфіці;

розвиваюча: розвивати критичне та логічне мислення, навички дослідницької діяльності, увагу та зорову пам'ять, спостережливість, удосконалювати фонетику та артикуляцію звуків, розвивати усні комунікативні уміння з опорою на наочність, творчий підхід до виготовлення поробок своїми руками;

виховна: виховувати зацікавленість у розширенні свої знань, загальну культуру учнів, толерантність один до одного та скріплення навчального матеріалу з життям.

Обладнання: Картки з зображенням тварин, фігурки тварин, матеріали для виготовлення поробки ( картон, ножиці, клей, олівці), електронна рулетка.

Хід уроку:

1. Організаційний момент:

1. Привітання.

T.: Good morning, children! I am glad to see you!

Ch.: Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you, too!

T.: Who is on duty today? Who is absent?

P.1: I am on duty today. All are present.

T.: Thank you very much! You may sit down!

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T.: Children! Today we are going to have very interesting and unusual lesson! We are going to travel to Animal World! At the end of the lesson we will help animals to find their own houses – warm and comfortable – and you will make them by yourself!

3. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу. Фонетична зарядка.

T.: As for now let’s listen and repeat the rhyme!

Let’s read this short rhyme and practice some sounds: [w], [v].

 

William always wears a very warm

Woolen vest in winter. Victor, however,

Will never wear woolen underwear

Even in the Wild Wild West.

Very good!

4. Мовленнєва зарядка.

a) Гра «Snow Ball»:

T.: Let’s start!

P.1: I like dogs.

P.2: I like dogs and cats.

P.3: I like dogs, cats and cows. etc.

b) Remember game.

T.: I will show you a picture with animals, you will count them and try remember how many animals did you see. You have 60 seconds and then you will answer the question: How many and what animals are there?

P.: I saw five elephants, one monkey and three crocodiles.

P.2: I saw five elephants, one monkey, three crocodiles, two giraffes and six lions.

P.3: I also saw four tigers and a  seven parrots.

2. Основна частина уроку.

1. T. Kids, let’s read and guess the riddles!

P.1: I live on a farm.

 I am pink. I have a little tail.

My nose is called a snout.

And I say “Oink, oink”.

I am ….

Ch.: a pig

P.2: I have 4 legs and a long tail.

I like to run fast. I let you ride on my back.

 I eat hay. And say “Neigh, neigh”. I am …

Ch.: a horse

P.3: I am a big farm animal.

I can be black, white or brown.

I like to eat green grass. I give milk.

I can say “Moo, moo”. I am ….

Ch.: a cow.

Yes! Very good! You guessed them all!

2.               Т.: Children, you have cards with pictures of the animals on your table. There are domestic and wild animals. Do you remember what is the difference between domestic and wild animals?

P.1: Domestic animals live with people and wild animals live in the nature.

T.: Yes, you are right! And now you need to name the animal and say what kind of animal is it: domestic or wild? Write down domestic animals in one column and wild in other. Then say about each animal.

P.1: It is a sheep. Sheep is a domestic animal.

P.2: It is a hippo. Hippos are wild animals.

P.3. It is a giraffe. Giraffe is a wild animal.

P.4: It is horse. It is a domestic animal. etc.

3. T.: That is right! Kids! Are we built in the same way as animals? Or are different? 

P. 1: We are different.

T.: Yes, you are right! But what do they have that we don’t?

P.2.: Some Animals have a tail!

P.3: Some animals have wings! 

4. T.: That is right! And now describe the animal that you chose. Say what do they have different from people.

P.1. It is a crocodile. It has got four short legs, sharp big teeth and a long tail. It is green and dangerous.

P.2: It is an elephant. It has got big ears, long nose and short tail. It is grey. It likes grass.

P.3: It is a horse. It has got long brown tail and mane; it has got 4 strong legs. It is cute and kind. etc.

5. And now kids we are going to help our animals! Choose the animal you like and build a house for it! For that you will need an electronic ruler to measure the animal, carton, glue, and pencils to decorate your houses. Remember, that when you measure the animal you chose a house should be bigger in size, so your animal could have a free space! On your desks you have got instructions (addition 1) how to make houses for your animals. They will help you to calculate necessary lengths. Good luck!

3.          Підведення підсумків уроку.

Children! Look what beautiful houses for your animals you have made! Now all the animals – domestic and wild - found their own houses! They are so beautifully decorated! Well done! I believe your animals are so happy to have such houses! You worked so hard and the results are brilliant! Your home task will be to describe the house that you made for your animal in written.
