Тема: English holidays.
Мета: - навчальна:ознайомити учнів зі святами, які святкують у Великій Британії, способами святкування того чи іншого свята, традиціями святкування;
- розвивальна: розвивати інтелектуальні та пізнавальні здібності, різні типи пам’яті- слухову, зорову, оперативну, тривалу, увагу, уяву, учити працювати в парі, групі, логічно висловлювати думку, формувати почуття гідності за свою сім’ю, розвивати соціокультурну компетенцію;
- виховна: виховувати дбайливе ставлення до членів своєї родини, культуру співбесіди, риси характеру: доброзичливість, толерантність, активність, повагу і любов до всіх членів родини, культуру спілкування, зацікавленість у розширенні своїх знань.
Обладнання: план-конспект, текст для аудіювання, наочний матеріал (різні види вправ для розвитку мовлення, читання та письма), плакат на тему «Зимові свята».
Хід уроку. Procedure

Holidays in Great Britain
There are some public holidays in Great Britain. They are Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Spring Bank Holiday and Summer Bank Holiday. Public Holidays in Britain are called bank holiday because the banks, most of the offices and shops are closed.
The most popular holiday is Christmas. Every year the people of Norway give the city of London a present. It’s a big Christmas tree and it stands in Trafalgar Square. Many churches have a carol service on Sunday before Christmas. The fun starts the night before, on the 24th of December. Children hang stockings at the end of their beds hoping that Santa Claus will come down with toys and sweets. It’s a family holiday when relatives usually meet for the big dinner of turkey and pudding. The 26th of December, Boxing Day, is an extra holiday after Christmas Day. This is the time to unpack presents or maybe to sit at home and watch football.
