Урок "Подорож до Великобританії"

Тема: Подорож до Великобританії.

Мета: Формувати предметні компетентності:

 - Вчити пошуку необхідної інформації в процесі ознайомлювального читання, удосконалювати навички з пошуку інформації.

- Розвивати довготривалу пам’ять, увагу, уяву, уміння самостійно планувати мовний вчинок, вміння навчальної співпраці при виконанні колективних проектів.

- Розширювати знання учнів про країну, мова якої вивчається.

- Виховувати культуру спілкування, повагу до традицій іншого народу.

 - Реалізувати змістові лінії:

- Громадянську відповідальність ( вчити порівнювати типові для різних культур вербальні та невербальні норми поведінки на прикладі Великобританії)

- Підприємливість та фінансова грамотність ( удосконалювати навички, визначати орієнтовну вартість перебування в Шотландії та Великобританії за 1 день)

Обладнання: карта Великобританії, прапори та символи частин Великобританії, картки зі словами, роздатковий матеріал, мультимедійна презентація.

І. Організаційний момент.

Teacher:  Our topic is continued. And today we will speak about the behavior in GB and Scotland.  Lets make the purpose of our lesson.  Can you guess the topic of our lesson? (Expected answer: Great Britain). Can you name other 3 parts? (Expected answer: England, Wales, Northern Ireland). The best way to get to know other country is to visit it. So I propose you to make an imaginary tour to Great Britain and Scotland.

       Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is one of Britain's most attractive cities.

           It is a city for people who like to walk. You are never far from green parks, gardens and hills even in the main shopping streets. It's a busy modern city, but history is everywhere. On the top of the highest hill in Edinburgh there is Edinburgh Castle. Soldiers have marched through its gates for nearly a thousand years. It was the home of Scotland's royal family until the year 1603 when King James the Sixth of Scotland became king of England as well and went south to live in London.

     You should start your tour with London, the capital of Great Britain. You can see Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and many other places of interest here. But England is not only London. Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their old universities. Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of Shakespeare. Stonehenge is situated in the south-west of England. It is a circle of big stones. Nobody knows why it was built. 

 

 

 

       1) The British children always is used the name Mr., Ms. together with their surname.

(Британські діти завжди вживають Місіc та Містер із прізвищами своїх вчителів).

  2) They never call their teacher by name. (Вони ніколи не звуть своїх вчителів по імені).

  3)  The most of people is standing by waiting their own order to the café. (Більшість американців тихо стоять, чекаючи своєї черги до кав’ярень).

  4)  About British say, that they are good listener. They think, that is not polite to break the talking people. (Про британців кажуть,що вони гарні слухачі. Вони вважають,що це неввічливо перебивати співрозмовника).

  5) Self-restrained – is one of the features of the British. (Стриманість – ще одна риса британців).

  6) You can make British people feel uncomfortable by standing too close and you can feel badly if they move away. (Ти можеш примусити британців відчувати себе незручно, підходячи до них занадто близько).

Imagine that you have just returned from Great Britain full of impressions. You meet your classmate who hasn’t been to this country yet. Tell him or her what you have seen, what places of interest you have visited, express your feelings.
