Цілі заняття:

.

           Практична: 1 Узагальнити та систематизувати вивчений матеріал,

                                     активізувати вживання в мові студентів раніше засвоєну

                                      лексику, розширювати словниковий запас студентів з        

                                      теми, повторити вживання (to be) в Past Simple

                                    2 Практикувати у самостійному зв'язному діалогічному                 

                                     висловлюванні з теми;

                                    3  практикувати студентів у читанні та аудіюванні тексту з

                                        метою повного його розуміння;

                                     4  акривізувати знання студентів про правила побудови і вживання Past simple tense.

           Розвиваюча: розвивати навички роботи в групах, читання, аудіювання,                            

                                   говоріння, письма;

           Освітня: розширити знання студентів про правила реєстрації в 

                            аеропорту;

           Виховна: позитивне ставлення до вивчення англійської мови.

Привітання.

Good afternoon students. Great our guests.  I’m happy to see you at the lesson. Sit down please. Who is on duty today?

We start our lesson, but  at first organization moment. Students you have cards  with different colour. Red colour means level B, Yellow level A. Don’t forget you colour because during our lesson we will be doing same exercises with the same tasks but with different level of difficulty.

Level B is harder tasks, Level A- is easier tasks.

At firs we do exercise witch helps you to improve pronunciation

  •             Put you things away, look at me repeat after me P P P stop the air behind your lips. Take a sheet of paper, hold it in front of your mouth when you open your lips the paper  moves. Look at the blackboard repeat these words all together.
  •             Let’s look at this joke, and read it altogether. Read the word with sound p.

What do you think can you speak to your partner during 3 minutes non stop? Is it possible for you? Lets try. You need just three minutes. I star  my clock and you begin speaking. About what??? About anything what ever comes to your mind. You can talk about your day, about your family, or just look around and speak about our class or weather. Or even just about my pen. Do you like my pen? What color is it? Is it long or short? Do you like writing with a pen or a pencil? What question can you ask me about my pen?

You see it’s not difficult. But its one ruler. If you stop before the time is up you will be the losers.

Let’s remember what is the topic of the lesson? I think travelling is very interesting. You visit many places and learn a lot of useful  information. And while you are travelling you need to remember about your native land. Because English probers says east or west home is best. And what famous places are there in our little but very peasful and picturesque town. Your home task was to make the short video about famous monuments of Lebedyn.

 

ІІ Активізація лексики до теми

1 Last lesson we learned many words and word combinations to our topic. Let’s remember them. Look at the screen and say what is it?

2 Guess the words.

We play the game. I read you the definition of the word if you guess it, hands up and say. For right answer you’ll have the card. The person who has the more cards will be the winner of the game.  Do you understand? Do you work in group or alone? Do you cry when you guess  the word? Lets start.

 

A Journey -  a trip from one place to another

To book - to arrange to have a seat, room, performer, etc. at a particular time in the future

Check in - the area at an airport where you show your ticket so that you can be told where you will be sitting

To land – to (cause to) arrive on the ground or other surface after moving down through the air:

passport- an official document containing personal information and usually a photograph that allows a person to travel to foreign countries and to prove who they are

luggage - the bags, suitcases, etc. that contain your possessions and that you take with you when you are travelling

pilot - a person who flies an aircraft

lounge- a room in a hotel, airport, theatre, etc. where people can relax or wait

trolley a small vehicle with two or four wheels that you push or pull to transport large or heavy objects on

passenger a person who is travelling in a vehicle but is not driving it, flying it, or working on it

to take off If an aircraft, bird, or insect takes off, it leaves the ground and begins to fly

 a suitcase a large,  container with a handle, for carrying clothes and possessions while travelling

stewardess - a woman flight attendant

boarding pass a card that a passenger must have in order to be allowed to get on an aircraft or a ship

baggage reclaim - the area in an airport where arriving passengers collect luggage that has been transported in the hold of the aircraft.

Lets count your cards. How many cards do you have?? You are the winner, lets clap your hands and congratulate.

3 solitaire

It’s time to work in groups. This row is the  first group. And this is the second. You’ll play the cards the game is solitaire. Do you remember the rulers?

4 back to board.

I write a word on a board. What will you do?

You describe the word. You can use your hands, but you can’t show it.

Can you look around and look at the board? When you guess the word what will you do? You shout. How? Loudly. But remember NO UKRAINIAN.

What is the fastest way of travelling?

Is it expensive or cheap?

Where do we go, when we have decided to travel by plane?

Do we have the person who has ever travelled by plane?

I think than in a future everyone will have the opportunity to travel by plane. But you have to remember that there are some rules for passengers who are traveling by plane. When preparing to fly, passengers are requested to arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure time. They must register their tickets, get a boarding card, and weigh and check their luggage. But in what order do this things happened? Continue work in group put in order the sentences. The first and the last one have been numbered for you.

You have numbered the things happened at the airport. But how to get informanion you need? What questions do you ask? And how to answer them.

Task 1

Lets watch the video and do the first task . Where is the dialogue?

Dialogue number 1 is at the airport

Dialogue number 2 is check in dialogue

Dialogue number 3 is on the plane

Task 2 

listen the dialogues once more but red and yellow color have different task.

Level A –red color –complete the sentences

Level B – yellow color – put the phrases in correct order.

And now compare dialogues with your partner and check.

Task 3

Watch once more without sounds and lets role play them.

ІV Розвиток навичок роботи з текстом

  •          Pre-reading

Open you books.  Look at the photo, this is a very bid city Sydney. Where is it?

What other big cities are there? What is Australia famous for? Now we are going to listen the true story which was in the news all over the world. The text will be in past simple.

  •          While reading
  •          Listen and read the text. Do you think they were in Sydney? Why?
  •          Post reading
  •          Read the story again and number the pictures in order. Compare your answer with you partner before checking answer. Look at the screen and check.
  •          Read the text quickly and underline the words and phrase you don’t know. Then ask you partner the meaning of the unknown words. What words you didn’t know?
  •          Let’s listen the end of the story. Where are Emma and Raoul? Were they in Sydney, Australia? (no in Sydney Canada)

 

V Активізація граматичного матеріалу.

Вживання минулого неозначенного часу

  •          How do you think

Were Emma and Raoul happy? What did they do? How many days were in Sydney?

  •             We are going to do an activity now. Which is like a dictation but it a little bit different. I’m going to dictate some sentences for you but its important when I dictate the sentence you cannot write anything. When I finish you have to try to remember what I said. It might be difficult but don’t worry because we do it more then once. You ready?

Level B –red cards have to remember all the text,

Level A –yellow have to put verbs in the sentences with right ending.

They arrived at a hotel in the evening. They  didn’t have dinner, because they were very tied. They stayed in the room and watched TV. Did they like their journey?

And now write down what do you remember.

We do the same thing again. Pen down. I’ll repeat the sentences again, look at you sentences you can do them better or they’ve perfect already.

And now work with you partner and compare your sentences.

And now need a volunteer. The volunteer has an easy job. The volunteer doesn’t have to think much. You need only to write and the class will dictate you.

  •          Look at the first sentences is it positive negative or question sentences? where is a verb? What is the ending?

Second sentences is it positive or negative sentences? What is an auxiliary verb? Is there the ending to the main verb?

The last   sentences what kind of sentences is it?

  •          What is the ruler of the past simple? (студенти самостійно виводять правило )

Look at the chart ex 2 p. 55. Let’s complete the past simple column with the highlighted verbs from the story.

Did they like their journey?

What did they do in Sydney?

To say you the truth this city isn’t so bad. There are many interesting places to see in it. Let’s watch the video and write your own ending of the story using verbs in the box.
