Тема: Погода і наше дозвілля.
OBJECTIVES:
- to develop students’ imagination in communicative activity,
- to stimulate students thinking,
- to train students’ vocabulary skills,
- to develop students’ skills in listening for gist,
- to practice listening, speaking, writing skills on the topic.
The lesson.
1.Conversation about weather..
- What day is it today?
- What season is it?
- What is the weather like today?
2. Warming up. Think and name the adjectives to describe the weather.
(Hot , warm, cloudy,rain, rainy, frosty, sunny, snowy, foggy ,windy.cool, slippery)
3. Write the letter correctly.
4. Look at the pictures and say what the weather is in the pictures.
F.E. The weather is cloudy.
5. Think and name the verbs to tell what you do in different weather.
( make a snowman,read a book, play computer games, play snowballs, watch TV, fly a kite, go to the park, go to the river, swim, sledge, skate, ride a bike)
6.Use the verbs , complete the sentences, telling what you do in different weather.
When the weather is rainy I watch TV.
When the weather is hot I …
When the weather is cold I …
When the weather is snowy I …
When the weather is windy I …
7.Decribe the pictures.( Season. Weather. Children’s activities)
8. Say what the weather is going to be in different countries. Ex. 4 p149.
F.E. It is going to be foggy in France tomorrow.
9. Read a dialogue in the book. Ex.5, p.149.
- Make your own dialogue about weather.
-Introduce your own dialogue about weather.
Homework: Learn own dialogue about weather by heart. Ex. 21, p.150. Tell about the weather in native town during a week, using the table.
