Objectives:

to practice and use new words and word combinations;

to practice singing a song;

to practice structures “Do you like…? Yes, I do.\No, I don’t.”

to develop Ps’ listening, writing and speaking skills.

Vocabulary: chicken, lemonade, sweets, fruit, salad.

Structures:

Materials: PB, flashcards.

Outcomes: by the end of the lessons pupils will be able to learn new tongue twister; use new words and word combinations, speak what they like and what they don’t like, sing a song.

1.Warming up

First you read tongue twister slowly and then children should repeat after you.

Tongue twister: «Elizabeth’s birthday is on the third Thursday of this month»

2. Presentation

Ex. 1, p. 86 – listen, point.

Explain to pupils that they are going to listen to the audio and point.

Nick: Come to my birthday party, Ben.

Ben: A birthday party? How old are you?

Nick: I’m seven.

Children: Happy birthday! These are presents for you.

Nick: Thank you!

Mother: Do you like fruit salad?

Liz: Yes, I do!

Vic: Can I have some lemonade?

Ben: Here you are.

3. Practice

Ex. 2, p. 86 – listen and repeat.

Say pupils that they are going to listen and then repeat.

Exercise

Say pupils that they are going to watch the video and do the exercise.

Explain to pupils that they should listen and repeat.

Play game “What’s missing?”

Place target flashcards on a board. Tell pupils to close their eyes. When they do, take away one of the flashcards. Then, tell the pupils to open their eyes. The first pupil say the missing flashcard wins that round. You can continue this game with the other cards.

Ex. 4, p. 86 – ask and answer in pairs.
