Aims:

Навчальна: повторити знання лексики теми «Їжа та напої», вивчити нову лексику до теми уроку, навчити учні монологічного мовлення за темою;

Розвивальна: продовжити розвивати навички аудіювання, формувати мовну здогадку, розвивати уяву, пам»ять, увагу;

Виховна: виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, розширювати світогляд учнів на основі ознайомлення із культурою харчування, виховувати патріотизм.

Procedure

  1. Introduction
  • Greeting and Aims:  

T: Good morning students. I’m glad to see you. Let’s start our lesson. Today we continue to work at the topic “Food and Drinks”. Today we have to remember the words to our topic, we are going to watch video and speak about meals you usually eat for breakfast.

Today’s lesson is unusual, we have to do a lot of tasks. “Food snake” – our guest will help us. If we do everything you will get presents, not only excellent marks….

Snake consists of some parts. Each part has task and it is meals which our snake likes to eat for breakfast. So, let’s start!

  • Warming up

T: As for me, I like poems very much. And what about you? Do you like poems?

St: Yes, we do.

T: OK. Let’s listen to a wonderful poem “Meals”.

 

Breakfast in the morning
Dinner in the day

Tea comes after dinner

Then comes time to play.

Supper in the evening

When the sky is red

Then the day is over

And we go to bed.

T: Now we are going to speak and read about your typical breakfast and what children eat for breakfast in England.

While-reading

And now we are going to learn what children have for breakfast on a typical day in England. (Учні читають текст вп. 3 ст. 61)

T: (ex.4 p.61- усно) Look through the text ex.2 and say who:

T:  And now we are going to play game – lexical game. There are nine words connected with food. They go across and down. Find the hidden words in the box and write them down.

T: Now let’s learn a new proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. This proverb says if you eat only one apple every day you needn’t a doctor. We know that fruit is very useful for us. Remember this proverb and keep it.
