Урок- челендж складений за новою програмою для проведення у комп'ютерному класі, адже всі завдання учні виконують за комп'ютерами (бажано для 1 групи учнів). Використовується смарт-дошка ( або мультимедійний пристрій). Попередньо робляться відео записи звернень "відомих людей Британії" (переодягнені учні інших класів) для оголошення завдання учням.

Тема уроку: «Тур навколо Сполученого Королівства» (урок у комп’ютерному класі з використанням смарт-дошки)

ЛО для повторення: to border on, to be situated, average, highlands, etc.
Oбладнання: мультимедійний пристрій, проектор, старт-дошка, ноутбук учителя, комп’ютери учнів, роздавальний матеріал (із завданнями для роботи в групах), картки.

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення
Greeting ( привітання)
Teacher: Good morning dear friends! I am glad to meet you at our lesson which is going to be not usual. We are going to have a challenge-flight. Excited? Moreover you will have to do all your writing tasks at the computers. But first of all we need to figure out what the topic of our lesson is. Actually this is your first challenge. I need to divide you all into 3 groups to find 3 envelopes with the tasks. As soon as they are solved you will know the topic. Don’t forget you all have only 1 minute to find the envelopes, so do everything fast! Let’s start.
The first task for the first group: answer 5 questions within 10 seconds (обирається 1 учень з команди, який дає відповіді протягом 10 секунд):
Well done! To find another envelope the second group will have to leave the classroom. You have 5 seconds! Do it! Let’s count! (конверт ховається за дверима ( наприклад, одразу за вивіскою на дверях аудиторії))

Theresa May: Good morning dear Ukrainian tourists. I’ve heard you know a lot about our country. But how well do you know about its landmarks? Have you seen them before? So, tell us please what you know about famous landmarks of the UK. Thanks and welcome to the UK! (The students are presenting their hometask about famous landmarks/ презентування домашнього завдання – відео «Визначні місця країн Сполученого Королівства»).
Teacher: Great! Oh if we are flying over Buckingham Palace why not to visit its hostess, the Queen? Let’s listen to her task.
The Queen: Good morning, smart young ladies and gentlemen! It is so nice to meet such energetic and intelligent guests in my country. I will allow you to visit my Palace if you cope with another challenge. You will see the sentences about my country on your computers. Your task is to correct all the mistakes in them. Dr. Watson: Yes! Britain is famous all over the world for its weather. You already know that the UK is an island state and that means that it is surrounded by water.
Sherlock: And I advise you to take a mackintosh with you! Dear friends, do you know what a mackintosh is? Of course, you do. It’s a raincoat. But do you know that the word "Mackintosh" is a surname?
Dr. Watson: And now our task for you is to listen to the story about mackintosh and answer the questions. So be attentive! Now you will see the text about the climate in the UK but all the parts are put in wrong order. You need to put them in order. It is so easy! Go ahead! __4__ The two worst months in Britain are January and February.
__6__ Summer months are rather cold and there can be a lot of rainy days.
Teacher: Well, I think we are almost done with all the challenges for today. But there is one request for you from one nice girl. She has a story for you and she needs your help.
The girl: Hello everyone. This is Helen writing to you to ask for advice. My parents want me to go to Great Britain to study at the language course. But I don’t want to go for lots of reasons. I know that the weather is wet and gloomy there and it is not warm even in summer. I know nothing about their culture and traditions. I will miss my friends! Can you help me please to decide if I need to go there. Thanks. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Teacher: Well my dear friends. It is time for debate. Can you please divide into 2 groups for discussion. The first group will have to give arguments for studying in GB while the other group will give us arguments for staying here. (the students are discussing the question and debating / обговорення в групах та проведення дебатів щодо проблемної ситуації)
Teacher: Great job! We’ve managed to find both some cultural troubles and different ways of solving Lena’s question.
