The pupils of the fifth form gather in a school café. To choose 10 participants the qualifying round is held. Each pupil gets the tasks.
Teaches: Dear pupils and quests!
We are glad to see you on our quiz «How well do you know English? ». Our participants are the pupils of the 5th B form.
You will have three rounds and all participants and winners will be rewarded by certificates. I wish you good luck! Be very attentive! We've come to Round I of our competition. Your task is to choose the correct answer (a, b, c, d). The first ten pupils, who answer correctly, will take a part in the second round. Good luck!
The first round
Pupils do the task and then juries check and choose 10 participants.
The second round
Task 1. Complete the proverbs.
1 East or west …(home is best)
2 Every country … (has its customs)

Task 2 In this task pupils are to guess the riddles.
